FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK The State Youth Achievement Day, Royalty, will be held this Sunday, September 17 at Lodge No. 25, Ennis. The program is outlined in the Youth Section. Let us all support our youth in their efforts; the rewards will be ours in the future. The seven districts are well represented and only one does not have a king contestant which shows that the youth are interested. We hope they will have support from a great number of us in our being present. As has been stated so often, there can be only one first place winner, however, there are no losers. Just appearing belore an audience is an experience never lost.

The 32nd Annual Czech Day is rapidly approaching. This day is customarily set for the first Sunday in October, and has been reserved for several years, and we were reserving this date, too, however, this year it is October 8. In 1970 we had the pleasure of witnessing a fine program in the coliseum When approximately forty circles danced the Beseda to the live music of the Dallas Concert Orchestra. We hope (many of you are anticipating participating in some way because each year there area countless hours spent on planning and final preparations. We also want to include that the red carpet

FAREWELL TO SUMMER The wild geese journey across the autumn sky. In the distance one hears their haunting cry. Farewell, farewell to summer they seem to say as they honk on their way. Southward bound away from their mating ground. It's echoed in their lonely sound As in a V formation they soar. For some will be silenced by a. hunter's gun To return north never more. —Laura Krobot is awaiting you at the Czech Day, for your enjoyment. • • Your editor had or has no intention of adding anything to the minutes. They are being printed exactly as received. However, there are, in this week's issue, of the third day's proceedings, two errors which should be corrected before they are printed in book form. I am sure calling your attention to them will not be misconstrued.

Just before the end of the Wednesday morning session, above the signature: "Tillie and Dorothy" it states: "and J. J. Walla from AAL, a Lutheran fraternal." Next sentence states: "Jerry Silva and J. J. Walla brought greetings from KJT." We are certain there is a mistake. Then, further on in a paragraph: "By-law Chairman Milan then submitted the reworked Article 52-h." The tape reveals this to be Article 50-h. "The Publication Committee will decide, as stated in Article 52, about . . . etc." These alre all meant fn good faith. Reworked Art. 52 has only a and b. 6

Dreamers and Doers — The world enerally divides men into those two general classifications, but the world is often wrong. There are men who win the admiration and respect of their fellowmen. They are the men worth while. Dreaming is just another name for thinking, planning, devising — another way of saying that a man exercises his soul. A steadfast soul, holding steadily to a dream ideal, plus a sturdy will, determined to succeed in any venture, can make any dream come true. Use your mind and your will. 'They work together for you beautifully if you'll only give them a chance.
