FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK CONVENTION ISSUE Time is rapidly approaching for the publication of our convention issue. We could still use some additional material for that issue. Contributors should try to have their copy in no later than June Gth. Thank you. Sunday, April 30, our son Terry and yours truly left early for the long trip to Robstown to the District VII meeting. This district, the same as District IV, covers rather a large, territory, and yet, in spite of the distance, also was fairly well attended. We were glad to meet with all of the members present and renewed old friendships. The business of the meeting was well-conducted and did not take too long, and we regretted to find out that Brothers Chas. Holasek and Jos. Koliha, Jr., both were unable to attend due to illness. The Supreme Lodge officers present were asked to speak. SL Secretary R. Urbanovsky spoke to the assembly about the forthcoming convention and proposals for changes in the by-laws. To arouse such prospects to action, tell them how persons who procrastinate are likely to go through life without accomplishing their objectives. Tell them how wishful thinking can only end in misery, as shown by the following objections, at various ages: Ages 18-25 — I can't save money now. I am just getting started in life. Wait until I earn more money. Then I will save some of my earnings. Age 25-40 — I can't save money now! The high cost of living and educating my children takes all of the extra money that I am earning. When they are older, it will cost less. Then I will save some of my income. Age 40-50 — I can't save money now! 'When I have paid for my home, and when the children are earning their own money, I will save money for my old age. Age 50-65 — I can't save money now! It is not easy for a person my age to get a different job. I will have to take
