A MOTHER'S DAY What shall I do with the gift of a day? Hoard it, or spend it the usual way? Cooking and planning the family fare With seldon an hour for pleasure to spare. Sweeping and dusting and pausing to sew; Stooping to bind up a wee injured toe; Patiently listening to prayers that arc said; Tucking each child with a kiss into bed. Day that comes singing on dawn's dewy wings, Recklessly spent on such trivial things; Begging for time then day's minutes are gone. But deep in my heart the notes of a song. Your editor's memory turns back to the year of 1952 and the convention of our Society in Houston when our districts were, created, with no provision for their existence, financially. Each district had to seek a means of helping their continued existence. Some resorted, to collecting dues from their member lodges, which they do to this date, according to the number of members in their lodge. In the convention in Temple, in 1956, the districts finally received some relief and help, financially, from the Supreme Lodge according to the mandate of the convention delegates, and we can see by the progress made
