FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK Your editor wishes to call your attention, especially all local lodge treasurers, financial secretaries and 'all members who handle lodge money to carefully read SL President Morris' message in this issue, and guide yourselves accordingly. Selling insurance today is like selling a luxury. It cannot be measured in immediate benefits like a car, home, TV, etc. The prospect first must be taught to be far-sighted, his resistance broken down, then be convinced of the need. Obviously, this is not a job for an amateur. Selling insurance is not banquet talk dealing in obtuse generalities. on the replacement of members, lost either by death, terminations, paid-up, matured, or by other causes. Therefore, the most important contribution of every SPJST member to his or her Society is to secure at least one member as often as he or she can. Do yourself and the Society a good deed by getting your relatives, friends and acquaintances to join our great organization. Let them know that you are asking them to share a good thing when they join the SPJST. The Society offers not only insurance, but also something more. Our Society offers fraternal, social, youth activities and rest homes for our senior citizens. A continous flow of new members will insure a steady growth of membership in our organization .It will enable our organization to do even more for cur people, and especially for our members. Therefore, be on the lookout always and everyday for new members. Bear in mind that when you are working for the SPJST you are doing this for an organization in which you are a shareholder, so you actually are working for yourself.

What Do New Members Mean? The lifeblood of our Society is its membership. The life is of our fraternal benefit Society depends, to a great extent,
