And you can take as long as you like to repay this inexpensive loan. -- It does not cost you a cent, as it may in the case of a will, to change the beneficiary of your life insurance or to revise the terms under which the proceeds will be paid. --At your death, processing of your estate may take months or years before the proceeds can be distributed. The value of your life insurance, though, becomes available immediately to your beneficiaries upon your death —often avoiding the need for families to dispose of such assets as stocks, real estate or art objects under unfavorable market conditions in order to pay federal taxes. —Finally, many families find that the only way they can discipline themselves into saving money at all is -through regular forced payments of life insurance premiums. You cannot reasonably argue that there are no good reasons for buying and ,holding life insurance. Much more painful and to the point are the questions of hoW much life insurance the average family needs and what type of protection is best.
