VBS is quickly approaching, and we need your help to make it an incredible experience for our kids! We’re looking for volunteers to serve at our Vacation Bible School, Super Camp, on June 2nd-4th. We, as the body of Christ, are responsible for teaching and discipling the next generation, and this is an incredible opportunity to do just that! Sign up to help at www.spirit.church/signup.

Beginning Sunday, May 25th, we will only have two Worship Experiences, at 9:30 and 11 am. This change will last throughout the summer months, and we will resume our 8:15 experience in the fall.

What is personal finance? Personal finance is about setting and reaching your financial goals and knowing and understanding all the avenues to accomplish those goals. It includes being responsible for your current and future financial state, creating your financial goals, saving for emergencies, and taking care of other financial tasks for you and your family. Managing debt, saving and investing, buying a home, choosing the right insurances, planning for retirement, and planning your will or estate are all steps to help you do this. You want to be prepared for such things as an unexpected job loss, an illness, or the death of a family member. It is important to address your personal finances because just like with anything, you must have an offense and a defense to protect you and your family. “So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?” (Luke 16:11 NIV) We can help you. Join the SpiritCHURCH Financial Peace small group for our next session of Financial Peace University in September.

On Sunday, May 4, in all three services, Victoria Burks will be signing copies of her latest book, A Legacy Without End, which is now available for purchase. This intriguing biography is the story of SpiritCHURCH’s own missionaries, Rodger and Nadine Perkins, and their thirty-four years as missionaries to Japan. The account of the Perkins’ determination to live out their calling to preach the Good News against insurmountable odds is an inspirational read that will increase faith in God and His eternal care for all who live for Him.
