But let me tell you the secret mantra as to how I had so much fun besides eating the famous chili crab and window shopping for out-of-reach designer clothes on Orchard Road during my first few weeks. I decided to take a typical 3-day tour of Singapore and below I have shared some of the places that I think is absolutely worth the visit:

East Coast Park The Park attracts more of rollerblades, windsurfers, cyclists, and beachfront diners. The beaches are all man-made, and I think it is one of the greenest areas in the city and popular among recreation lovers.

Labrador Nature Reserve Located on the south, Labrador Nature Reserve is a small area that is home to native sea grass, mangrove habitat and the only rocky sea-cliff on the island. Still holding on relics from World War II, this natural reserve is an extension of the Southern Ridges, with interesting and unexplored pathways. Even though Labrador in itself is almost too small to be remarkable, I think one of the main attractions here is the views of the ocean and Sentosa Island.

Bukit Batok Nature Park and Bukit Timah Nature Reserve With spectacular views of an abandoned quarry, Bukit Bartok is a smaller park while Bukit Timah Nature Reserve has a wider stretch in terms of its area and it is also home to almost half of Singapore’s flora and fauna. I got the opportunity to explore through extensive trails while encountering colourful, long-tailed birds flit through the trees among fat, spiky fruit, alongside elderly people practicing Tai Chi. These central hills are host to walking trails and biodiverse secondary rainforest.

MacRitchie Reservoir Park

Monkeys and many more monkeys all around!! Shocked to see so many monkeys inhabit this park.

They are found in abundance at MacRitchie Nature Trail, snatching food from unsuspecting visitors.

What's more, the most exciting feature of the park is a 25m-high TreeTop walk overlooking the mature forest canopy.
