1859 (5 May) entire to Bordeaux (address party re-instated), marked “p Malta, via Aden and Marseilles” bearing untied 4d. green (light staining around margins) with central target cancel, showing handstruck “8” with, on reverse, “PACKET LETTER/MAURITIUS” oval datestamps and various French transit and arrival c.d.s.; 1859 (19 Aug.) envelope to Calcutta, marked “per Queen Victoria”, bearing 4d. green tied by void obliterator and showing, on reverse, “PACKET LETTER/MAURITIUS” oval d.s. and arrival Ship Letter d.s. The latter with R.P.S. Certificate (2002) which states “the stamp cannot be certified as having originated on this cover”. S.G. 27
