1854 (31 Dec.) small entire letter from Bombay to Canton addressed bi-lingually in different hands, bearing two cut-to-shape examples in pale blue and pale red neatly cancelled with diamond of bars and showing Bombay “B.P.P.” c.d.s. alongside, the reverse with Bombay and Hong kong (29.1) c.d.s. across join; the letter slightly refolded where the stamps where originally over the foot and with minor ink etching on address. An early usage of the 1st. Printing to an unusual destination. Photo

Mourning envelope (date unclear) to London, marked “Inland & Steam Postage paid” and bearing two cut-to-shape sharp print examples in deep blue and red, both showing slight doubling to front of face and neck, and in combination with 2a. green, all cancelled with diamond of fine dots and all three sharing, and tied by, indistinct London Paid c.d.s. with framed “INDIA PAID” handstamp below; flap with faults though an attractive mixed value franking.
