Weekly Bulletin Issue 88. February 6th 2014
Summer Ball & Dragon Boating go Live! Last week we announced our June visit to Center Parcs and this week we have two other essential events open for bookings. (See links in box below). For the first time, our Summer Ball 2014 will be a masked ball due to many requests.
Learn to Paint this Sunday You don’t have to be out in the elements to enjoy a challenge with Spice – and with the weather as it is, that’s probably a relief! Last week we featured our wonderful Pottery Workshop so this week I thought I’d mention that we have a couple of late places to learn to paint a picture in acrylics with the lovely Julie Hyde. Oh and anyone can do it! See how, click HERE
Photo of the Week! This week’s coveted prize goes to Sally Sheil for sending in a snap of what looks like a bit of emergency restraining from Mark at “Spices Biggest Loser - The Next Step”. See what we mean HERE
Thanks for your Restaurant Suggestions We asked on our Facebook Page for members to recommend their favourite eating places. As a result we are in discussions with several potential new venues for Spice meals and the first, Byzantium is now booked (link below). Keep them coming HERE
Gok’s behind you .. oh yes he is! We’ve bumped into many celebrities on Spice events over the years. One place where you never know who might walk in the door is StageSide Restaurant in Birmingham as it is right by the stage door of Birmingham Hippodrome. It was Panto Season when we had our January Dinner Shuffle there and as the Spicers were ‘mixing it up’ as usual they found themselves joined by Gok Wan and Gary Wilmot! Our ladies didn’t even have time to check their bra straps before Gok waded in to tell them they all looked lovely! Welcome home to all our Skiers who enjoyed the high life of Courchevel 1850 last week. As well as great skiing they enjoyed a polo tournament on the Altiport and posing outside their hotel that was next door to Chanel and Bulgari! See pics HERE Maggie is back off to France tomorrow but this time not for skiing but to discover the Great War. As ever, this Bulletin is designed to give you a quick overview of what is happening this week in Spice. “Anything in blue - should click through”.
