Weekly Bulletin Issue 76. October 31st 2013
Trick or Treat? Halloween is here again and reminds us that Autumn is well on its way and Winter is on the horizon. No doubt there will be some ‘Trick or Treating’ at this weekend’s Halloween Party! There are plenty more treats in the pipeline leading up to Christmas. Perhaps a glass of mulled wine at the Frankfurt Christmas Market Treasure Trail CLICK HERE. Don’t miss the wonderful Christmas Carriage Ride CLICK HERE through the frosty countryside or dining in the Great Hall of Tutbury castle with Henry VIII CLICK HERE
Food Glorious Food! Despite the Biggest Loser proving to be successful, others are enjoying the Spice meals! If you are new to the group look out for the successful events entitled ‘Dinner Shuffles’. The co ordinator on the evening will arrange a move after each course to ensure there is an opportunity to chat to a lot of members throughout the evening. Enjoy the Kababish Dinner Shuffle CLICK HERE.
Remembering. What a fantastic evening we had at ‘War Horse’ on Monday evening, an incredibly moving, brilliant ‘sell out’ show. Tickets were like gold dust as the show loomed. If you missed ‘War Horse’ we have a few tickets left for ‘War Horse - Only Remembered’. The author Michael Morpurgo will tell on stage the powerful and deeply-moving story of young Albert and his beloved horse Joey. Michael is joined by acclaimed musicians who accompany him with the haunting songs from the show. 2014 is a year of anniversaries of crucial military events that shaped our futures including the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WW1. There are only a few places left on our WW1 Battlefields Discovery tour, so join us on this special trip. In March look out for ‘A Night in The Trenches’ a successful event that we have run over the last two years and experience trench life. As ever, this Bulletin is designed to give you a quick overview of what is happening this week in Spice. “Anything in blue - should click through”.
