Choose Youth! Early yesterday morning I was called into The Mailbox to be interviewed for the radio on the subject of people who are leading active, adventurous lives in their advancing years. This is a not a natural subject to give to a Spice Coordinator as it is not an area we give much thought to. Yes, we strive to have members of all adult ages, yet age itself seems to have far less bearing on our members than the choices they make and attitude they adopt. Despite the headline, of course I’m not suggesting we can choose our birth date. However, like that popular 1980’s T Shirt slogan “Choose Life”, the message seems to be that great Spice members are able to choose their attitude rather than let circumstances define what we they are. So as I wish you a fun week ahead, my ardent wish is that through what we do in Spice we may discover how to reconnect with the “wow” we remember as a child – at whatever age we have become. As ever, this Bulletin is designed to give you a quick overview of what is happening this week in Spice. “Anything in blue - should click through”.
