Don’t miss out on our Halloween Spectacular
An epic Spice trip, worthy of a billionaire!
It may be 6 weeks away, but bedrooms are running short for our Halloween Sleepover Party on Halloween Night. It’s always a popular night in the Spice West Midlands Calendar. To meet demand we have just added a “party only” option for those booking late. We have also booked some extra entertainment as well. So get your skeleton out of the closet and Click HERE
The word “awesome” is often used carelessly – particularly in America. However, the Spice Grand Canyon Rafting Trip that I have just returned from has to be the absolute definition of “awesome”. Do take the chance to see all the photos on Facebook (see mine HERE or join the special group page HERE). We were in the wilderness, away from phone signals, wifi and all the other complications of modern life. We were living at the pace of the river and sleeping out under the stars in our pristine paradise. One day, when exploring a wonderfully peaceful side canyon, we came across the crew of another raft who were sitting on a rock playing Pink Floyds’ haunting “Wish You Were Here” on the guitar. They had incredible natural acoustics created by the layers of rock that the wind had sculpted over millions of years. Later, our boatman said “you know that guy playing guitar. He’s Sam Walton Jnr, heir to the $250bn Walmart empire. He loves rafting the Canyon. It’s where he’s at his happiest. Sam’s one of the richest men in the world but down here he’s exactly the same as the rest of us – well, except that he now arrives in Arizona in his Learjet!” Starting and ending our trip amongst the vulgarity of Vegas, reminded me that there are some things that money cannot buy. And in my opinion - and that of one canny billionaire – our natural world is priceless!
