What’s Hiding in Kings Norton!

It’s always better outside the box ..

Many of us have discovered the delights of discovering new aspects to places we thought we already knew by booking an Ian Jelf Walk. Well if you thought you knew Kings Norton – then think again. Ian has all sorts of stories and surprises in store next Saturday (28th) with his Hidden Kings Norton Walk. Come and join us. Click HERE

It was parents evening last week for Coulter child number 4. His junior school teacher remarked on a particular piece he had written about his first day at school. “It’s good” she said, “however a bit unexpected as I had asked the class to all write about their school trip. When I asked him why he hadn’t written about the school trip he said it was because he thought everyone would be doing that - so he’d do something different for me to read!” I am sure my son will find that there are some advantages in life to his desire to think “outside of the box” – but also a lot of trouble in store .. particularly if he wants to become an airline pilot! When it comes to life as a Spice coordinator however, free thinking is exactly what we spend our time doing. Thinking up very different and unexpected ways for our members to enjoy their leisure times together. We are currently negotiating for our members to learn to play polo on Segway’s rather than horses. Meanwhile, as I write this, a group of you are having lunch in a prison! It’s all in a days work. All the time, we try to surprise you all with ideas that are creative and at times, even bizarre! I know that some of you have enjoyed seeing our member Andrea aka “Swingerella” on Channel 4’s Come Dine with Me this week. No there’s a lady who makes her own rules – and lives them! So whatever you are doing this week, my wish is that you let us help you move outside of the norm. Life’s just too short to be predictable and boring.

Dancing in the Street! Talented member Esme Crutchley is the instructor for our new Street Dance Class. Move it! Click HERE

Badminton Worcester We’ve had a dip in numbers for our free badminton sessions in Worcester since having to move to a Tuesday slot. So next week we’re experimenting with an extra Thursday slot. If a Thursday gets your vote, please let us know by booking it HERE

Don’t mess with the Pip - monster! Those of you who know Pip Gorringe will know that she can be a bit determined at times! So giving her a pair of boxing gloves at our recent Boxercise event was sure to be fun! The result is on Youtube HERE
