C/S Project #156859 Re: Stainless steel foil cover smoke barrier
Mr. Pridemore, In reference to the above mentioned project it has come to our attention that the use of stainless steel foil has come into question for use as a smoke barrier. In the following Intertek test report, you find the stainless steel foil product has been tested per the UL 2079, Standards for Safety, Tests for Fire resistance of Building Joint Systems, 2015. The system was Air Leakage tested as per Section 21 of UL2079. As a result of the test, you will find the conclusion shows that the stainless steel foil system has exceeded (0.00 cfm/ft) the target pressure differential of 0.3WC for both Ambient Temperature Test and an Elevated Temperature Test. If additional information is required, please feel free to contact us. Sincerely,
