INTRODUCING THE ZODIAC COLLECTION

MEET THE NEW

ZODIAC COSMETICS Let’s start with a statement to sum up why we decided to create our own range of cosmetics ‘we are not make -up artists’. This fact has shaped every decision we’ve made throughout the whole process, to create a range of premium products accessible to any beauty lover, not just the professionals.

The Process It’s taken two years for us to source and develop the high quality pigments and formulas in the collection, there has been no compromise on quality or our vegan and cruelty-free brand values. The result is a cosmetic range which we’ve become utterly obsessed with, and which we hope will further establish Spectrum in this industry.

The Result The consumer’s time is precious, and that was also an important consideration for us in product development. For our eyeshadow palette, we wanted to offer a carefully considered edit of colours and textures, the result is a 9-shade super palette that we’ve tried and tested in a multitude of circumstances. We’re yet to find an event that the palette doesn’t deliver a suitable look for, be that Coachella or a business meeting, we have worn it, loved it and received multiple compliments, it has certainly become our ‘go to’ palette.

As much as we appreciate the creative art of make-up, we rarely have the time to create an insta-worthy eye look and find the prospect of using multiple shades and an excessive list of products intimidating. We want our customers to be able to create makeup artist inspired looks with just a small amount of product. The concept behind the palette is wearability and versatility, with each shade intended to be worn alone but with the option to build colour to create multiple looks.

The Packaging Sustainability is always on our minds and is a huge consideration in our manufacturing decisions, that is why you won’t find any glitter in our pigments. In order to get our intense shimmer, we’ve used sustainable faux pearls, meaning our love for sparkle can be fulfilled without the addition of micro plastics.

to further our commitment to packaging sustainability. Ultimately our goal is to limit the amount of waste on this planet.

The Tagline ‘Better beauty for everyone’ has become our mantra, not a tagline that we created but a belief and a passion that has shaped the range in every way, including our choices of packaging, product selection and our carefully considered price point.

The Campaign As well as having a great sense of humour, a wonderfully warm personality, and a contagious laugh, Amy Jackson is a passionate campaigner for animal rights and conservation, which is also important to us.

Amy was five months pregnant on set, and as Spectrum is a brand which champions women, we were thrilled to celebrate and support the 'workin' mummas' as Amy herself proudly says. We were especially proud to be able to capture this special moment in her life as part of our first cosmetics campaign.

Katie Jane Hughes was also our first choice when it came to deciding who would be the makeup artist behind our campaign. Katie is someone we hugely admire in the industry and she has had Spectrum brushes in her kit for years, so it was a natural collaboration. We love how she simplifies beauty and makes it accessible for the everyday consumer. Katie has great skill when it comes to translating high fashion looks into something far more achievable, encouraging everyone to push the boundaries with make-up and embrace a pop of colour as we have done with our brush collections and now with our makeup too.

We’ll let the product do the talking from this point, we hope you become as completely captivated by it as we are.

Spectrum’s first eye-shadow palette is a 9-pan edit of velvety mattes, intense metallics and highly reflective duo-chromes. The versatility of the Zodiac eyeshadow palette allows the customer to create a multitude of looks in a matter of minutes, from a daytime look with added polish to full evening glam.

COSMIC DROPS

‘Cosmic Drops’ are an innovative water-based formula, packed with sustainable synthetic pearls as opposed to glitter, designed to create a sensational sparkling effect by reflecting natural or synthetic light.The product is intended to be an eye-look enhancer, by simply pressing Cosmic Drops on top of eyeshadow with the finger tips consumers can create that coveted ‘wet look’ which doesn’t move around or smudge. Alternatively for a softer look the drops can be patted onto bare eyelids for a subtle but effective shine. The formula is non-tacky and hydrating which creates a fresh finish.

BLACK MASCARA A mascara that delivers instant impact, wrapping lashes with intense ultra-black pigment achieving stunning results in just a few strokes. The formula also adds a nourishing coat of protection and hydration to lashes due to it being enriched with added vitamin C and vitamin E. The formula is smudge-proof, free from parabens, preservatives and is halal certified.

The highlighters are created using a new production technique, which combines the smooth finely milled powder base with added drops of metallic beads in a contrasting colour, meaning every single highlighter is unique. Beautiful and wearable, apply a delicate layer for a softer more diffused look or build coverage for a more intense gleam.

Zodiac Wonder Sponge Set: £8.99 Our latex free makeup wonder sponges have had a cosmic makeover, now featuring a full size and a half size sponge this set is designed to perfect your base.

Firstly moisten the larger sponge and apply foundation in a bouncing motion for a seamless finish, second take the smaller sponge, dampen in warm water then proceed to press concealer onto the more delicate areas around the eyes and nose.
