Cow with the wow factor takes out supreme at Toowoomba A Speckle Park cow with the x-factor wowed the judges at the 2021 Toowoomba Royal Show to be sashed the Malcolm McCosker Supreme stud cattle exhibit.The rising fouryear-old female Wattle Grove Miss Wow N10 was exhibited with her bull calf and impressed the three interbreed judges Tom Nixon, Drillham, Patrick O’Leary, Clifton, and Graham Brown, Windera. Miss Wow was exhibited by the Humphries family, Wattle Grove Speckle Park, Oberon, NSW, and caught the judges’ attention as a stand-out entry in the grand champion interbreed female line-up. She was sired by Codiak Putnam GNK 61Y and out of Wattle Grove 60W Unique G28, while her calf Wattle Grove Life it Up R145 was sired by Wattle Grove Road Block N328. The cow had come through the ranks to win the female 24 months and over class, followed by senior and grand champion female. In reserve to Miss Wow was Nunkeeri Park Lauren exhibited by Pinnacle Park Speckles, The Summit, Qld. Lauren had a seven-month-old bull calf and was a rising six-year-old.

The Speckle Park ring drew 24 head from seven studs. The champion heifer calf was AAA Photo Finish R18 shown by AAA Speckle Park, Kingaroy, Qld, with SND Signature Radiant Star in reserve for SND Signature Speckles, Stoneleigh, Qld. Everest 46Y Willow Q20, a daughter of Codiak Eagle GNK 46Y, was sashed as junior champion heifer for Everest Speckle Park, Oakey, and in reserve was Waratah Wendy Q168 shown by SND Signature Speckles.

Heritage Bank Toowoomba Royal Show has announced it is set to host the Speckle Park National Feature show in 2022. In other Queensland show results, Waratah Wendy Q168 was led by Robert Nuttridge to win his division of the junior paraders at the Ipswich Show, and the heifer was reserve champion senior British female. SND Signature Maximum Impact was sashed as reserve champion junior British bull, while SND Signature Radiant Star was reserve champion junior British female.

Sired by Maungahina Kindmans Cove, Everest K247 Riddler R7 was named the champion male calf for Colin and Linda Shields, Oakey, Qld, with AAA Hugelhoff R08 in reserve. Wattle Grove Jagerbomb Q120, by Six Star Rare Commodity, was junior champion bull while AAA Thunderbolt was in reserve.Wattle Grove also tasted success with the Star Bank Lacerta 68L son, Wattle Grove Freedom P646, as senior

At Lowood show, Wendy Q168 was champion senior British female, and SND Signature Maximum Impact champion and grand champion British bull.Maximum Impact was sashed junior and grand champion British bull at Woodford show. Nine-monthold SND Signature Roscoe was junior and grand champion British bull at the Samford show on his first outing.

Wattle Grove Miss Wow N10 was supreme exhibit.

AAA Photo Finish R18 was sashed champion heifer calf.

Everest K247 Riddler R7 was named the champion male calf.

Everest 46Y Willow Q20 was junior champion heifer.
