soothing tones and deep relaxation.

breast cancer screen event with the Boob Bus, serving 12 staff members during Breast Cancer

Awareness Month We hope to continue this meaningful initiative next year

This bus offers mobile mammograms to women, aiming to normalize both medically necessary and elective procedures in a fun, supportive, and easy-to-access environment It’s a powerful step toward improving women’s health and wellness

Thank you to Sodexo Live! and Visit Salt Lake for joining us in supporting the Boob Bus and helping make a positive impact on women’s health.

Hispanic Heritage Month

This fall, the Salt Palace Convention Center and Mountain America Expo Center celebrated

Hispanic Heritage Month with an array of meaningful activities honoring the incredible culture and history of Hispanic and LatinX communities. Our team members we’re excited to learn about and celebrate the cultures that make our workplace and community so vibrant.

Here’s how we celebrated:

Lunch & Learn – We shared delicious snacks from Hispanic cultures while learning about the rich traditions and histories behind them The Pan Ducles from Panaderia Alicia's were a hit!

Flag & Influential Poster Challenge – Team members tested their knowledge of Hispanic flags and influential figures for a chance to win fun prizes!

Lotería Game Day – We gathered to play Lotería, a traditional Mexican game (similar to Bingo), as we won prizes, shared laughter, and had some friendly competition, of course.

Día de los Muertos Ofrenda – To end the month, we set up a beautiful ofrenda to honor and remember loved ones who have passed, embracing a deeply meaningful cultural tradition.

Passion & Innovation Award

At the Momentus Technologies Illuminate Conference in Boise, Idaho, the Salt Palace Convention Center was honored with the Passion & Innovation Award for our successful transition from Elite to Enterprise - an event management platform software. This Award recognizes our teamwork, dedication, and adaptability of our amazing staff.

CLEAR THE AIR CHALLENGE

In September, the Salt Palace Convention Center and the Mountain America Expo Center participated in a fall Clear the Air Challenge, reducing emissions and promoting cleaner air. Throughout the month, our teams tracked their mileage and explored ways to cut back on their car emissions.

SKIP THE DRIVE, TAKE A RIDE

As part of the Clear The Air Challenge, we hosted Skip the Drive, Take a Ride Day, encouraging staff to use public transportation for their commute. Team members who participated were treated to a sweet reward a jar of honey harvested from our very own beehives!
