“We don’t need another political uprising. We don’t need another conqueror on the scene. What we need is a special word, that will bond within our hearts and give us direction from above. We need a Word from the Lord. A Word from the Lord. Just one Word from the Lord, will remove all the doubts and cause the sun to shine and give peace of mind. Speak Lord, Speak Lord.”

Rev. Dr. Jozana E. Allen

Dr. Jozana E. Allen is the daughter of Martha Allen and the late Rev. Johnny Allen. She is the mother of two beautiful adult children, James and Jazmine and the Glam-Mom of her precious angel CaSiyah and her adorable little prince, James III. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at the very early age of six years old and she was baptized by her father, who was the Pastor of the Union Temple Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Dr. Allen has been serving the Lord ever since.

She was called and chosen to preach the Gospel in May 2000. She was licensed and ordained to preach the Gospel in the Baptist Church as well as the Methodist Church. Dr Allen attended and graduated from the Palmers Theological Seminary in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania in May 2002. There she earned a Diploma in Biblical and Theological Studies and a Diploma in Christian Education. In March 2006, Dr. Allen completed the course requirements and received recognition as an Adjutant at the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops, under the leadership of Bishop Delano Ellis. She was also consecrated as an Overseer in May 2008. In May 2010, Dr. Allen graduated from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia where she earned the Master of Divinity Degree. Her concentration was, “The Theology of the Black Church.”

In May 2017, Dr. Allen graduated from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia where she earned the Doctor of Ministry Degree. Her Dissertation was entitled “Social Justice Preaching in the African American Church.”

In 2011, Dr. Allen was called to serve as the Senior Pastor at Scott’s Progressive Baptist Church in Camden, New Jersey, where she pastored for 9 years. The church grew and flourished under her pastorate, and she attributed that to the working of the Holy Spirit. Dr. Allen was also the first woman Pastor to be inducted into the Bethany Baptist Association, Eastern Region.

For three years, Dr. Allen served as the Executive Pastor of the First Nazarene Baptist Church in Camden, New Jersey. This was another history-making milestone, as Dr. Allen became the First Woman Associate Pastor at First Nazarene Baptist Church.

Dr. Allen currently worships, under watch care at the Greater Faith Baptist Church in Philadelphia, under the Pastorate of Pastor Larry Marcus. She also serves on the Ordination Council for the Pennsylvania Eastern Keystone Baptist Association. Dr. Allen is also a long-standing member of Pastors’ and Ministers Conference of Philadelphia and Vicinity.

With her Baptist roots, her Methodist experience and her Lutheran education, Dr. Allen is considered a walking ecumenist. Dr. Allen is a preacher and teacher of the Profound Gospel of Jesus Christ. God has given her a boldness to preach the Word, no matter what the cost. Out of all her accomplishments, Dr. Allen chooses to be recognized simply, as a Servant of God and a Child of the King. And after everything that she has been through, she still has “Her Praise!” To God be the Glory. Her life scripture is, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper…” Isaiah 54:17

“Just as God is three in one – Creator, Christ, Holy Spirit – humans were created as three parts: body, mind and spirit.
