The studio was an opportunity to design a state-of-the-art facility however they will also focus on performance related issues of the building enclosure and their simulation using advanced computer softwares. Other aspects of the design such as structural, environmental and lighting issues will have equal importance during this studio.
The aim of the design revolves around the idea of taking the users on a journey through the 100 years of Chicago World Fair 1933.
The site is located at the Beverly Shores consisting of the five historical houses from the fair. The design intends to celebrate the houses and the futuristic theme of the fair.
The vibrant, modern and aesthetic commmemoration of the journey connects the users of all age groups with the houses directly or indirectly inducing curiosity to reach out to the houses and experience their aura first hand.

The design interpretation starts from the idea of celebrating the musical harmony developed over the 20th Century. The concept revolves around integrating the Frequency of musical notes with sense Freedom it provides along with sense of Unity amongst the listeners.
The program supports and celebrates the vitality of jazz, with a focus on Chicago’s traditions and its links to blues, soul, and R+B. Jazz today represents some of the most important intellectual and stylistic development in contemporary music.

As the primary interface between interior and exterior environments, the building envelope is an important architectural component with great potential for impacting building performance
The seminar focused on the theory, design, and analysis of building-envelope systems, with an emphasis on experimental approaches in the realms of energy performance, geometry, fabrication, and user experience

The goal was to learn about an innovative structural system that serves special purposes and needs.
Just like disaster relief shelters where ease of transportation and rapid deployment are needed, for roofs of stadia to have all-weather sports, for structures used in responsive facades, for iconic public architecture to enliven a space, and whenever a structure needs to be reused without the burden of dismantling and reassembly.

Cognition is the way, people understand their environment through immediate sensory experience coupled with memories from the past. The idea of cognitive mapping is used in spaces to give immediate sensory insights to the user.
Transition areas have distinct niches and terraces, formed due to interlocking of units, that act as cognitive spaces. Each space with its unique spatial identity functions as a separate green system.

The design delivers spaces that offer various instances of environmental sustainability Hence these spaces become a landmark in the daily transition of the users and leave a mark in their minds. Working of each sustainable system has human involvement Thus, making them more responsive and resposible to the environment.

The design interpretation starts from the basic idea of celebrating the pedestrians and cyclists. The podium is arranged strategically to enhance the user experience by providing fluent pathways and corridors through out the complex and also increase the commerce for the ‘retail-tainment’ zone
The site is treated as a permeable edge to a new marketing approach i.e ‘pop-up bazaar’ and hence it becomes crucial to maximise the comfort of the pedestrian users.
Since the design program is influenced by porosity and fluidicity, Blobitecture becomes the architectural interpretation of the development.

The whole concept of the project was to bring the community together by using the spaces diligently, such that the residential and commercial sectors can share the space collectively but at the same time can craft their own space among spaces.
The pedestrians are having an upper hand on the site and major axes were defined in order to maintain a user-friendly and harmonious environment.

The public transport systems are more and more dependent upon the artificial intelligence and smart technologies, also as a global trend car manufacturers are seeking alternate fuels and new ways of interpreting public buses and pooling techniques.
We can predict that in near future, by efficient governance and executions, bicycles and NMTs will rule the roads. Hence, it becomes crucial to future proof the master plan for the predicted shift in the trend of private vehicle ownership status.

Sitting rightly glorified, in all our history books, not once the Indus Valley Civilization failed to inspire and astonish planners and architects all around.
Sahibi’s journey to the Yamuna through Delhi covers a stretch of 50 kms. Along this stretch, ten locations to act as prospective riverfront development points have been proposed.
Every module design responds to the context of each location. With these measures in place, the mammoth task of cleaning the dirtiest drain of the national capital diminishes to a small module.

Intuiting from the grid planning, water transportation and methodical drainage systems, the design alludes to our rich history and draws from it, its strongest holds. Further, it acknowledges the way which Najafgarh drain has been treated and aims to work on it and help it return to its original glory.

RIVERFRONT PLAN
One of the most important aspect of this design is that it desires to use the river for a lot more than just waste and promote the idea of sustainable lifestyle, by being designed in a way that discourages vehicular movements and promote pedestrians following enhancements in road network and efficient connectivity between any or every set of two points.
