#SUBROSABRAND Subrosa Brand began in 2006 as a collaboration between Ron Bonner and myself. Ronnie’s background comes from a lifetime of BMX and creating brands such as UGP and The Shadow Conspiracy, while my experience came from growing up in BMX from racing to working in bike shops, to being a pro rider

The goal of the brand is to create complete bikes and products that are affordable, reliable, and have an attention to detail that make each piece high quality and hard to duplicate by other brands. We also use our brand as a way to spread the BMX lifestyle and attitude to the world.

Seems like you have been traveling a lot again this year, what was your standout trip of the year?

It was an amazing year traveling for me thanks to subrosa and shadow, I have so many stand out trips but I would have to say my last shadow trip filming for what could go wrong in Boston Massachusetts with (trey,Simone,mark,Johnny and Chadwick) was my favorite as far as spots and all around good times, big thanks to Matt Rays family and everyone in the Boston area!

You dropped a ton of awesome new footage this year! Do you have a favorite project and what took the most work?

I would have to say my What could go wrong part for shadow, we worked so hard and went to so many dope places and it was such a treat to work with one of my best friends and favorite people to ride with Ryan Chadwick, Can't thank Chadwick enough for making the video so amazing!

You just dropped an edit with your Novus complete where you took it straight from the box to the streets, how was it to ride?

It's crazy how much it felt like my bike that I ride daily, it's so amazing to see the quality of these complete bikes minus a few aftermarket parts they can handle the abuse of your everyday shredding! If only the complete bikes were this dialed when I was growing up haha

You’ve got a lot of signature products between a few brands, do signature complete bikes mean anything different to you?

Absolutely man, Having a complete has always been a dream to me and working so closely with shadow and subrosa with having my complete bikes come with all my aftermarket signature parts was amazing. It's truly an honor and something I dreamed of but didn't think was possible haha!

Your complete bikes come with some of your signature parts, was it important to make the bikes close to your personal set up?

Yes it was super important to combine the aftermarket parts with the completes to add the personal look of my everyday bike I ride, I love the colors and signature color ways we get to work on so it's rad to see it on a complete bike.

Did you ever have a complete bike growing up? If so, how did it compare?

The only complete bikes I had was 16 inch bikes like the Hoffman 16-18 conversion bike that was super heavy and I only rode for about a year, it can't even compare to the complete bikes now a days as far as weight and quality!

Yes i did and it was an amazing year mostly because of that! at the end of every trip i always think that was probably the best one i have haver been,so i guess they are all great and fun ,can t really pick a best one,they were also so many that it s almost hard to remember them all right now.. i defenetly enjoy big crews trips and we had a bunch with shadow n subrosa this year!

I'm very happy about them,never expected i could ever get any of that,especially coming from italy and didn t know about their existence till just couple years ago...i like when something comes to me as a surprise, with out me really trying to get it, its more of a extra bonus,i just focus on riding and have fun so it s good to see that someone else appreciate what i do at the end ..

You just dropped a Novus complete edit where you took it straight from the box to the streets, how was it to ride? yes it was fun.seriously liked it and felt it almost better than my bike since it had less pegs so less weight ahah ..it was good to cruise couple hours and film few clips after that i just gave it to my girlfriend so she can cruize with me sometimes ,she loves it ! :)

You have some of your personal artwork on the bike, is it important for you to have personal input on your signature parts?

I like simple stuff and simple grafics so it s easy to just make it myself.. it also wouldn t feel as much personal if someone else would make them for me... it s nothing special,but that what i like ..just simple

You’ve got a lot of signature parts between a few brands, do signature completes mean anything different to you? a signature bike it s a little different from other signature parts cause it s not what i really ride even tho it looks like,while a signature part it s exactly what I ride myself..having a signature bike makes me pretty happy tho cause i know thats how kids start riding,and also how i started riding..first bike is usually a complete so im happy to have a bike beetwin all those complete bikes in the market,thank you subrosa!

Did you ever have a complete bike growing up? If so, how did it compare?

I started with a complete bike that i still have back in italy..i rode it for almost a year and loved it..as a kid and without experiences i was just looking at complete bikes in catalogs while couple friends would suggest me to get separate parts..didn t listen to them and got an other complete for an other year..i loved them but i remember now they were pretty bad compare to complete bikes now a days..but i think completes are the way to start ..
