Born Michael Cunningham Jr. in Panama, Spark Dawg is a half Panamanian, half Black hip-hop artist and celebrity jeweler hailing from Texas. With lyrical finesse and a witty style, Spark began his journey in music writing raps in middle school. His talent caught the attention of Texas rap legend Scarface, leading him to become a member of the rap group Green City, where they released a project under Scarface’s Underground Railroad & Universal Records.
Now signed as a solo artist to Multi-Platinum, Grammy Award-winning super producer Drumma Boy’s Drum Squad Records, Spark is set to take the hip-hop scene by storm. His current single, the strip club anthem “Bounce It,” features a hot verse from fellow Texas artist Lil Ronny Motha F and builds anticipation for his debut album, The Hood Dentist.
Spark’s impressive resume includes collaborations with major artists like Lil Scrappy, 24 Hrs,
Smoke DZA, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, DJ Clue, Paul Wall, Trae Tha Truth, and many more. His sound blends universal appeal with sharp lyricism, reflecting his diverse influences.
Inspired by artists such as Lil Wayne, Drake, Future, Michael Jackson, and Tupac, Spark is not just a musician but also a talented drawer with a passion for creating gold grillz. His music has gained recognition from media out lets like MTV Jams, The Source Mag azine, XXL Magazine, SayCheese TV, and Worldstar Hip-Hop.
