Hugo Horita Este ilustrador y artista nació en Buenos Aires y hoy en día se dedica a la ilustración editorial y publicitaria. Ha trabajado para las revistas Rolling Stone, Caras y Caretas, Ñ, El Malpensante de colombia y Nuvum de Alemania; además de los periódicos argentinos Clarín y Perfil. dentro de sus proyectos cuentan libros ilustrados y sus tiempos libres los dedica a la escultura y la cerámica. En este número, Hugo ilustró la portada y el reportaje central: “la visión del futuro en el pasado es muy rica visualmente”.
This Buenos Aires-born artist currently illustrates for publishing houses and advertising agencies. Horita has contributed to the magazines Rolling Stone, Caras y Caretas, Ñ, El Malpensante (colombia) and Nuvum (Germany), as well as the Argentinean newspapers Clarín and Perfil. His projects include illustrated and pop-up books, and in his free time, he sculpts and does ceramics. For this issue of in, Horita provided illustrations for the cover and the cover story. “The vision of the future in the past is visually very rich.”

El material de este reportaje, Sabores patagones, fue obtenido para el proyecto “Innovaciones gastronómicas: un impulso al turismo en Aysén”, financiado por el Gobierno regional de Aysén y ejecutado por el centro de Investigación en Ecosistemas de la Patagonia. “la gastronomía ha sido la mejor manera de conocer a fondo esta región lejana e inmensa”.

maría camila peña Esta periodista nació en Bogotá, pero luego de más de un año de viajes por el mundo se dio cuenta de que la vida es más sabrosa en el mar. Actualmente vive en Santa Marta desde donde escribe sus historias sobre viajes, medio ambiente y temas marinos. After a year traveling around the globe, this Bogotáborn journalist discovered that life is better near the sea. Today, Peña lives on the island of Santa Marta, where she writes about travel, the environment and the ocean. She’s a blogger for El Espectador newspaper, and her work has appeared in magazines like Semana Sostenible, Exclama and Viajes y Turismo. She was born in Patagonia and lives in Santiago, but Pfeiffer always returns to her native land, where she has published many articles and books. The material for her story in this issue – “The Flavors of Patagonia” – was collected for a project called “culinary Innovations: Promoting Tourism in Aysén,” financed by the regional government of Aysén and implemented by the centro de Investigación en Ecosistemas de la Patagonia. “Focusing on local cuisine has been the best way of getting an in-depth look at this vast and remote region.”
