Our Thanks Event will recognise the 1,000’s of people who have made Cub Scouts a success over the past one hundred years in South Yorkshire. It will showcase and recognise the support of volunteers, parents and the community, and demonstrate that Cub Scouts are at the heart of Scouting and the local community today.

There's family fun all day long with our walkthrough safari animal areas; Don't miss the lions, giraffes, tigers, meerkats, monkeys, baboons, zebra, polar bears, lemur, ostrich.... there are well over 100 types of animal. Plus a full programme of ranger talks and feeding time, indoor and outdoor play areas, cafes and shops in the new Safari Village. And there’s more, as well as the park and all of its facilities and attractions; we will be holding our very own thanks event party in a themed marquee where you can enjoy refreshments and cakes whilst being entertained. Thanks Events are designed to recognise the people who have made the Cub section what it is today, celebrating the living history of Cubs in your area. As well as a fun day out for all the family, this is an opportunity for groups to recognise past leaders who have retired or thank existing leaders who are running Cubs on a weekly basis. Why not invite them and maybe their families to enjoy a day out as a thank you for all their hard work; you could make it an event as a pack, group or district. This event is open to all Cub Scouts and their families in South Yorkshire and consequently PLACES ARE LIMITED so we urge you to book well in advance. If possible please send one booking form per pack. Confirmation will be sent and tickets and wristbands can be picked up beforehand or on the day of the event.
