Football Academy Level 3
Group: All Learners Campus: Bermondsey Start Date: Sep 2012 Duration: 2 Years The Football Academy is run in partnership with Millwall FC. The Academy is designed for people wishing to pursue career as a professional football player or coach.
Content: Learners will complete a Level 3 qualification and various coaching qualifications. Students in the Academy will play in league and cup competitions. Learners wishing to progress on to higher education wil have the opportunity to gain additional qualifications also.
Entry criteria: You must show that you have a genuine interest in football. Students must have 4 GCSEs grade D or above including English, Science or PE (or hold the equivalent), and attend an interview with a College lecturer.
Next step: Working as a coach or in sports development. A professional career in football or move onto higher education.
