“East london grit meets West End pizzazz”

Immersive entertainment specialists Shotgun Carousel have swapped the underground tunnels of Waterloo for the airy, openplan expanse of new arts venue Woolwich Works to stage their new show, The Grotteaux. But don’t worry, they’ve taken with them their burlesque and cabaret skills, their penchant for allencompassing design and their infectious, inclusive sense of fun.

Holly O’Mahony speaks to long-standing company member and director of The Grotteaux, Molly Beth Morossa, to find out more…

Holly O’Mahony: You describe your new show The Grotteaux as ‘The Muppet Show [crossed with] world class performers, kick-ass cabaret, and a healthy dose of festive magic”.

It sounds like there’s a lot going on!

What can audiences expect from it?

Molly Beth Morossa: The idea is that this is a place where all are welcome and there’s something for everyone.

of joy, with hints of Victorian music hall, 80s pop and 20s glamour amongst other things. There will be burlesque, drag, cabaret, comedy and live music from our newly formed house band, led by the outrageously talented Porscha Present. Think east london grit meets West End pizzazz, and a celebration of the various heritages of our spectacular cast.

HOM: Presumably The Grotteaux was conceived in lockdown? How

have the last two years been for Shotgun Carousel? As a company used to creating large-scale immersive productions in indoor settings, it must have been a sort of balm for your imaginations, conjuring your next big show in the dreary months at home?

We’ve spent 2021 cooking up The Grotteaux! So it’s been Christmas for a good 10 months at Shotgun HQ. I’m a huge Christmas nerd so it’s been a real treat for me, and a joyous focal point for the company.

MBM: Well, it sure has been a wild ride! As for everybody, the last two years have been challenging in many different ways. We spent the first

MBM: I’ll start by saying that the Vaults is a wonderful venue, and we will always hold a special place for it in our hearts. It’s always fulfilling to shake things up creatively, and the team at Woolwich Works are wonderful collaborators. We’re really committed to making cabaret accessible to everyone, and Woolwich Works has completely step-free access to the auditorium, so we’re www.weekender.co.uk

HOM: The venue being further out, are you confident that it will attract similar footfall to your previous shows?

MBM: It only takes about 20 minutes to get to Woolwich Arsenal on a train from London Bridge, and I think that people will travel for the spectacular evening of cabaret that we have in store for them. You cwan also arrive in style by boat on the Thames Clipper, which you can hop on all along the Thames. They have bars on board too, so you can get into the festive spirit en route!

HOM: Speaking of drinks, your previous shows including Divine Proportions placed as much emphasis on the sustenance and setting as the performance element. Is this the case for The Grotteaux too?

MBM: The Grotteaux is different to our previous works and isn’t a dining experience. Instead, we’re presenting a sit down cabaret extravaganza for which our design team will be transforming the stage with our signature Shotgun flair – in fact, the stage itself is almost like another character in the show. Between the space and the live band, audiences can expect

to be enveloped in the vibrancy.

surprises to expect from the night?

HOM: But there will still be drinks available, right? Some of us might want some Dutch courage before a night of burlesque…

MBM: Well, each night the house cast will be joined by some special guest performers, so every show will be different! We’re so excited to welcome performers including comedians Shaparak Khorsandi and Rosie Jones, circus performer Symoné, musical cabaret artists Bourgeois & Maurice, and magicians The Glamourists, to name but a few! As for whether we have any other surprises up our sequin-studded sleeves? Well you’ll have to come along and find out.

MBM: This being our first production without dinner, we’re handing over the refreshments side of things to the wonderful team at Woolwich Works, who have a café and bar right outside the auditorium. If their brownies are anything to go by, guests are in for an absolute treat! The venue is also a charity, and all profits from the bars and café support their mission to offer opportunities to the local community.

So every sip of that delicious mimosa will taste all the sweeter.

HOM: Absolutely! So is there a plot to The Grotteaux, or is it more a string of burlesque, cabaret and circus stunts?

MBM: It’s a mixture of both, really.

The production takes the form of a classic mixed bill variety show, with our incredible house cast performing speciality acts, including in burlesque, cabaret and drag. But there is magic that weaves these acts together: the cast present like a family, and the relationships between the performers is almost like a show within a show. It’s as much about what happens in between the acts as the acts themselves.

HOM: Can you hint at any further

HOM: It all sounds very exciting.

Finally, what lasting memories do you hope the audience takes away?

MBM: The Grotteaux is, at its heart, a celebration. This show celebrates our differences and reminds us that kindness, tolerance and inclusivity are our greatest weapons in difficult times. When audiences step into the world of The Grotteaux, we hope to instill a sense of togetherness and joy that will stay long after they’re back in the real world. Not everyone enjoys the festive season, so we’re creating a space where everybody can feel welcome and part of our chosen family. Also glitter. LOTS of glitter!

Sleeping Beauty prince Lee Mead on the enduring appeal of panto

With its princess cursed to sleep for a hundred years, only to be awoken by the kiss of a prince, Sleeping Beauty could come across as incredibly outdated by today’s standards.

But in the hands of pantomime connoisseurs Crossroads, who have no fewer than 30 pantos entertaining audiences across the UK this Christmas - including Sleeping Beauty at the Churchill Theatre - it’s oozing with 2021-worthy mischief and magic. Holly O’Mahony speaks to musical theatre star and seasoned panto veteran Lee Mead about playing the Prince…

Lee has lost count of the number of pantos he’s performed in over the years.

“I think this is my ninth or 10th panto,” he muses. “I tend to do it every year.

It’s so much fun and usually a short run of four weeks or so. It’s a real sense of Christmas and you’re sharing your Christmas with the public, really,” he says.

The road to the stage has been a bumpy one for this particular Sleeping Beauty.

Originally scheduled for Christmas 2020, the company was nearing the end of rehearsals when Prime Minister Boris Johnson introduced the four-tier system, forcing theatres to once again close their doors.

“The show was pulled and I had to self-isolate for 10 days,” recalls Lee. “It was the worst Christmas,” adds the

actor, musician and father, who has an 11-year-old daughter, Betsy, with former partner Denise van Outen.

With concerns over the rapidly spreading Omicron variant, would-be panto-goers everywhere – 33,000 alone over the course of the season at the Churchill Theatre – are hopeful new restrictions won’t pull the show off the stage this year.

Joining Lee in the Churchill’s Sleeping Beauty is national treasure Bonnie Langford as the Good Fairy, Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Myra Dubois as the wicked fairy godmother Carabosse, comedian Lloyd Hollett as lovable jester Muddles and former contestant of The Voice UK Claudillea Holloway as Princess Aurora.

“The cast are lovely and Bonnie is brilliant,” says Lee, adding that as well as some great songs, the dance numbers choreographed by Gary Lloyd, who also directs the show, are a highlight of the production. “The dance routine between Muddles and the Good Fairy is really, really great. It looks absolutely stunning.”

Lee made a name for himself winning the BBC’s 2007 talent show Any Dream Will Do – a feat which saw him go on to play Joseph in the West End revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat that same year.

It was an experience he looks back on as “life changing”, responsible for giving him his whole career, and all the more special because Joseph was the first musical he remembers seeing as a child.

Since then, Lee has gone on to play Caractacus Potts in the 2015-17 touring production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang – a role he describes as “a real leading man’s part” – and sung in front of vast audiences at the Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Stadium. The latter was for the Concert for Diana, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Princess of Wales’ death, which he was invited to perform at by real-life princes, William and Harry.

A further career highlight came in the form of another panto: in 2016, Lee played the Prince in Cinderella at the Palladium – the first panto held at the historic venue in 30 years. Lee returned to the venue in June of this year with his own staged concert (the album recording from which is now on sale).

While Lee thanks Any Dream Will Do for kick-starting his career, his dreamy voice has remained in high demand over the last 14 years. Many audience members will be booking Sleeping Beauty to hear it, so the big question is: what does he get to sing?

“I’ve got a couple of songs including a One Direction number, [which I perform] locked in a cage,” he reveals.

Having straddled both, how different is it performing a pantomime to a musical? “It’s just that interaction with the audience really, that’s what makes pantos different from musicals. It’s all

tongue in cheek,” he says, adding that the majority of audience participation comes from Lloyd’s Muddles in Sleeping Beauty (so a tip: don’t catch eyes with him unless you’re prepared to be picked on).

“Most people who wouldn’t normally go to the theatre tend to book the panto. so it’s always an exciting time,” he adds.

Seeing children experience their first ever panto is a highlight for Lee, and this year it’s personal: “I’ve got a niece, Harriet, who’s almost four, and she’s coming to her first panto this year,” he grins.

Once the Sleeping Beauty run culminates on January 2, Lee barely has time to catch his breath before taking on the lead role in brand new musical Fat Friends, based on Kay Mellor’s long-running ITV series of the same name, starring James Corden.

“We’re touring the UK for six months from January,” Lee reveals. “It’s a really feel-good show set in Yorkshire about a woman who tries to lose weight before her wedding, but the message is to be happy with who you are.” The show opens in Dartford on January 14, and is due to come to the Churchill Theatre later in the run.

With that, it’s time to let Lee slip back into his princely boots and head off in search of his princess.

Deck the Halls: a weekend of Christmas concerts in Blackheath The bar is stocked and the spirit of Christmas is in the air at Blackheath Halls, where two festive concerts are due to ring out this weekend. Fully seated in the Great Hall, audiences on Saturday can watch the venue’s Advanced Level Gospel Choir and KS2 children from St Margaret’s Lee CE primary school perform soulful renditions of gospel classics. Then on Sunday, the annual Christmas Concert is set to raise the roof, with performances from local community groups and the venue’s own Youth Choir. Expect a mix of seasonal favourites plus numbers you might not have heard before.

ARTS & ENTS Holly O’Mahony: You’re hosting two festive concerts this weekend.

First up, on Saturday evening, is a dedicated Gospel concert, featuring performances by the Blackheath Goes Gospel Choir, Advanced Level Gospel Choir and children from St Margaret’s Lee Primary School. What can audiences expect from the night?

HOM: It being the weekend before Christmas, will there be any festive refreshments available?

NM: Our bar will be open beforehand and during the interval serving a selection of drinks and snacks.

You can also pre-order drinks through a QR code emailed to audiences beforehand.

Nicola Metselaar: Who doesn’t love a Gospel concert? It’s an uplifting feeling listening to gospel music, especially after such a difficult couple of years. Hearing it performed live is something else altogether, especially when so many members of the local community are involved and enjoying themselves.

HOM: I’m sure you and the team are looking forward to a well-deserved Christmas break, but it’s presumably been a joy welcoming live audiences back over the last six months. Has it?

HOM: Then on Sunday, it’s the annual Christmas Concert. How are you feeling about hosting the event again for the first time in two years?

NM: The Christmas Concert has been at the heart of our festive programme for many years now.

We weren’t able to present it online last year as there are so many different groups involved and we didn’t want to disappoint anyone.

For that reason it is even more fabulous to be able to host it live again this year.

HOM: Tell us more about the community groups taking part in the event. Who’s performing? And, any spoilers as to what they’ll be singing?

NM: Our newly relaunched Blackheath Halls Youth Choir are at the heart of the concert and will be joined by the Blackheath Halls Orchestra and Blackheath Halls Gospel Choir, so music for all ages performed by all ages!

Rose Ballantyne: We are planning a lovely range of Christmas music, including excerpts from The Nutcracker to a candlelit Silent Night and Walking in the Air.

HOM: How enchanting! Can you reveal any more about the musical highlights of the concert?

NM: Now that would be telling! What I can say is that the concert will be packed full of musical Christmas treats for all ages to enjoy.

HOM: The Blackheath Halls Youth Choir is also performing. Who does the young group comprise and how would interested young singers

get involved in future events?

NM: Our choir is led by two professional choir leaders and is for gifted and talented young singers from across Greenwich and Lewisham, aged 8-16-years-old.

The group is supported by Arts Council England and currently has around 60 members. However, we are expanding all the time and are especially aiming to recruit boys in years 5 and 6.

NM: We are first and foremost a live performance venue, and that’s what we strive to offer to our local community and beyond. When our doors were closed it just wasn’t the same. Although the power of technology afforded us the chance to produce some content we would never have thought of doing otherwise, and we are immensely proud of what we achieved, it is wonderful seeing people come through the doors again and we very much look forward to a full and uninterrupted season of events in 2022.

CACT wins London Sport award

CACT took home the Young Londoners Award for providing COVID-safe activity sessions for young people during the pandemic.

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) received the Young Londoners Award at the London Sport Awards on 6 December.

The Young Londoners Award, in association with Sported, celebrates the outstanding work of individuals and organisations who are providing young people (under the age of 25) with the best opportunity to live a physically active life.

CACT is delighted to have been presented with this award for its work delivering activities on the community pitch to over 4,000 participants as well as offering free two-hour sole-use slots for clinically vulnerable young children.

Amongst those representing CACT at the award ceremony was CEO Jason Morgan, Charlton Athletic owner Thomas Sandgaard and Chair of Trustees Marilyn Toft.

CACT’s CEO Jason Morgan said: “We are so proud to have been presented with the Young Londoners Award at the London Sport Awards. CACT staff have worked tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and I’m delighted that we

were able to continue to deliver so many activities to young people. The outdoor sessions recognised were an important part of this alongside holiday camps for those in Greenwich and Bexley on free school meals.”

Head of Early Help and Prevention, Carl Krauhaus, added: “The organisation as a whole responded brilliantly [during the pandemic], but individually within our roles we had projects that were vital to the community we deliver to. We had to find ways, creative ways of keeping them going.

“Some of that was through virtual platforms – there were other projects that couldn’t be delivered virtually so we had to find a safe way to enable our staff to continue.

“I’m really pleased to say that those vital projects continued throughout Covid in a physical sense. We didn’t have to stand down any provisions that meant our families and young people that were in crisis potentially didn’t have them.”

History

Deptford Distillery and the whisky fire

Mary Mills The route down the Lewisham bank of the Ravensbourne past the old site of the Brook mill, the water works and then the park is now about to get to Deptford Bridge. It’s a site many of us will know well, where the buses stop, where the DLR station is and where your car has to wait at the lights. The best known works here is the Deptford Distillery, so we might as well start with that.

Old maps show the distillery taking up most of the riverside between the edge of the building line and Deptford Bridge. On the actual corner site between the river and the main road was Peppercorn's offices and buildings. Today that corner site is a massive tower block, although Peppercorn’s depository building appears to be still there. The distillery buildings start with the old main entrance – which, on Google Maps looks semi derelict. Architectural websites say that it says up on a plaque above the door ‘"Established 1779. Holland and Co's Distillery and Bonded Store."’ - Oh no it doesn’t! It may have done so years ago – in fact I can see it on old pictures - but it’s not there now. The site is said to have been a timber yard before 1779 which belonged to a Mr, Joseph Salway. He is also described as a ‘sugar refiner’ which is at least a technological step nearer to 'distillery' than ‘timber yard’.

In this period sugar refining was a big trade in the east end of London, partly carried out by German immigrants.

A legal document of the late 19th century says the distillery was set up at the end of the 18th century and carried on until the 1850s by

George Wheelhouse – who made ‘a large fortune’ there. I assume Mr. Wheelhouse made gin – although when I looked up ‘Wheelhouse gin’ on the net, thinking ‘Wheelhouse' to be an unusual name, I found several such gins - but they are all modern. One of the most respected of deceased local historians, Christopher Philpotts, described this distillery as ‘one of the great gin factories of London’ and I’m sure he was right. But like so much with this site the only thing really clear is that some men made a lot of money here, the gin itself is more elusive.

However I have discovered that a local blogger –the estimable Deptford historian Bill Ellson has already done a piece on George Wheelhouse (http://deptfordmisc.blogspot. com/2011/ - I hope that link works the George Wheelhouse bit is a way down the page). Bill says that little is known about him until 1814 when he is described as a distiller in Deptford.

He had been born in Scarborough in 1772 and never married.

In Deptford George Wheelhouse lived on site at the distillery – it appears that the part of the distillery buildings

fronting on to Deptford Bridge – the bit left that we can see – was used as a house by the distillery owner.

There are other accounts of how it was a grand house for the wealthy distiller. However in 1889 the London County Council served a dangerous structure notice on it and there is a lot of details given in the local press of the bits falling down and all the shoring up necessary. I assume that what is there now is safer.

To return to George Wheelhouse: The story that Bill Ellson tells us about is his will and how as a wealthy single man he left most of his money to charity - but it’s what his executors did with the rest that led a court case.

Bill also describes how – although Deptford has barely heard mention of George Wheelhouse – in Scarborough he is a local hero with streets named after him and all sorts. Many Scarborough web sites describe the results of his legacies (i.e. https:// www.thescarboroughreview.com/ news/2018/7/3/a-little-oasis-forolder-people) – so – well good for Scarborough and tough luck Deptford!

History managed by William Holland. It is entirely unclear to me if the distillery had belonged to Holland from the start, or when and how he acquired it or indeed what the status of any of these people actually was. Even the legal documentation produced in the late 19th century seems to skip over any detail and says that after Wheelhouse’s death ‘business was carried on’

by William Holland. This, it turns out is just part of the general atmosphere of confusion and contradiction.

When I look in various books about this site – all of them written by peoples whose research I would very much respect but some of whom have since died – I find some of them saying the site was really called ‘Vine and Still Distillery’ and others that it was ‘Goodhew’s distillery’.

None of this have I been able to trace back to source.

William Holland died in 1877 but his executors waited ten years, until 1878, to sell it to a Lt Col Kirby, who seems to have continued with the Holland name for the business. I assume he is the same as Alfred Kirby who is described as the distillery owner in the 1880s and who lived in New Cross. In 1887 he was knighted - I have no idea why.

So – after all that inconclusive speculation perhaps we needs a bit of excitement – let see the Mercury’s report from July 1891. For some reason an excise officer was on site and with Mr. T. F. Kirby a ‘puncheon of whisky’ was being emptied into ’one of the huge vats on the ground floor ‘. I will pass over any questions as to why the excise officer was there, who T.F.Kirby was (I don't know) and why it was whisky when they were supposed to make gin.

Each of the vats could hold eight hundred thousand gallons of spirits. Some of the whisky spurted over a lighted lamp, ‘and in an instant the spirit was ablaze, running over the floor the warehouse and down into the large vat they were engaged in filling’. Mr. Kirby tried to put the flames out with his coat.. and the fire brigade was instantly summoned. The Greenwich Fire Brigade at Grove Street immediately sent out ‘the steamer, the manual, and fire escape 43 Greenwich “A,” with ten men’.

Smoke was issuing in large volumes from the windows and ‘then came the Deptford steamer. Mr. W. J. Philcox. the superintendent of the B District, arrived on it, and assumed control of the operations’. Soon after ‘the Rotherhithe steamer. No. 1 headquarters’ steamer, the Tooley-Street steamer, and others, dashed up and quickly got to work.’

Arriving on the Tooley Street steamer was Captain Shaw.

This was of course Eyre Massey Shaw, Head of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade, after whom the preserved fire float Massey Shaw is named. I once went to a lecture on Massey Shaw and how he was idolised to the extent that pop songs of the day were written about him and he features in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe (he took a bow on the first night). He was a clever Irishman with an army background – and it should always be remembered that his predecessor James Braidwood had died leading his men in the massive Tooley Street fire

of 1861. These were still the days when firemen were celebrities and heroes – even being at that Iolanthe first night with a notorious wrong lady didn’t seem to matter.

At Deptford Distillery Massey Shaw was joined by the Chair of the Fire Brigades Committee of the London County Council - and a crowd ‘of many thousands’.

Control of the crowd was down to ‘strong force of police under Superintendent McHugo, with two on horseback’.

All traffic was stopped on the Broadway. Thereafter follows a long description of the flames and smoke.

The brigade worked manfully ......’ their drenched bodies and shining helmets were time after time lost to view from the crowd in the dense volumes of smoke ‘. Also ‘forked tongues of flame began to play amidst the smoke’ and ‘the roof was quickly consumed’.

Thankfully the only building actually burnt down appears to have been the warehouse which was probably deliberately flooded. Some firemen suffered minor injuries but no one else was hurt and the whole place was fully insured.

Well, that’s the exciting bit. Later the whole place was refurbished after the Great War and in 1922 was taken over by the long established gin distiller, Seagar Evans. They expanded the site and the business and greatly added to the Deptford buildings which became their headquarters.

In 1956 they were taken over by an American corporate and as a result whisky became more important to them than gin. In due course work stopped at the Deptford Distillery Now the back of the site is completely covered in shiny new flats – try looking at them from above on Google maps and see how many have been fitted onto this site, all jammed up against each other with precious little outside space. The whole of the planning process is described in numerous Deptford blog sites – you have to hand it to the Deptford bloggers they don’t hold back! They describe the process of ‘regeneration’ as ‘tortuous’ and I am sure they are quite right on that.

This article has been far from easy to write. It seems that every piece of evidence or something I knew about the site has been overturned - as soon as I get one thing ferreted out another thing has contradicted it. Even the story of George Wheelwright with so much evidence from Scarborough may not be so – there is at least one very coherent story of the origins of the distillery being through a Mr. Goodhew which may also make sense.

Even the fire with its nice write up in the Mercury - I don’t have a problem with the fire brigade but the fire itself? Is it an insurance job? And who are all these people who seem to be owners but who might not be.

Some things are certain. Some people made a lot of money. Some people drank a lot of spirits – but probably not the same ones who made the money. And finally - the front of the buildings in Deptford Bridge now is a complete mess. Why?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Greenwich proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

The general effect of the Order will be to: (a) add the following to a list of ‘car free’ developments which are ineligible for parking permits, unless a resident or business user of that property is a disabled person’s badge holder: (i) No. 183 (Flats 1, 3 and 4) Eastcombe Avenue; (ii) No. 95 Thames Street, this property will also be removed from the list of properties eligible for parking permits; (iii) No. 10 (Flats 1 to 6) Norway Street; (iv) No. 1 (Flats 1 to 4), 1A and 1B Charlton Road, and amend the list of properties eligible for parking permits so only Flat 5 at No.1 Charlton Road is eligible for permits; (v) No. 61 Devonshire Drive (previously No. 55 Guildford Grove which is no longer an address); (vi) Nos. 35 (Flats G01-G02, 101-104, 201-204, 301-305, 401-405 & 501-504 Tolhurst Apartments), 36, 37 and 38 (Flats B01-B03, Flats G01-G04, 101-107, 201-207, 301-307, 401-406 & 501-505 Kennard Apartments) Artillery Place, Nos. 36 to 38 Artillery Place will be removed from the list of properties eligible for parking permits; (vii) No. 24 (Flats 1-5) Anglesea Avenue (previously No.1 Anglesea Mews which is no longer an address); (viii) No. 273A (Flats 1-3) and 273B Greenwich High Road (previously the HSBC building between No. 273 and 275 Greenwich High Road); (b) add No. 63 Devonshire Drive (previously No. 55 Guildford Grove which is no longer an address) to a list of properties where a property is only eligible for business permits and tradesman’s permits, unless a resident or business user of that property is a disabled person’s badge holder.

5. Any person who wishes to object to or make other representations about the proposed Order, should send a statement in writing by 5th January 2022, specifying the grounds on which any objection is made by email to Parking-Design@royalgreenwich.gov.uk (quoting reference 21-12 Permit Eligibility).

6. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that in view of current access to information legislation, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice, open to public inspection.

New measures to help slow the spread of COVID-19

The Government announced new rules for England to help slow the spread of the virus, including the Omicron variant.

Free holiday club places Children aged 4 to 16 years old who receive free school meals can get a free holiday club place this winter!

Face coverings are mandatory for most indoor public venues including places of worship, theatres and cinemas, as well as in shops and on public transport.

Masks are not needed in places like pubs or restaurants.

People should work from home if they can. However, the guidance recognises that there are some important mental health benefits linked to coming into the workplace.

From 15 December...

• You'll need an NHS COVID Pass, or a negative lateral flow (rapid) test, to gain entry to nightclubs, indoor unseated venues with more than 500 people, unseated outdoor venues with more than 4,000 people and any venue with more than 10,000 people. This is subject to parliamentary approval.

The Government intends to allow contacts of confirmed Omicron cases to do daily COVID tests instead of self-isolating. However, no date has been given for this change so please make sure you are fully informed of the self-isolation guidelines.
