Someone who makes a difference in the world!
NICK NURANEY CHAIR, BOARD OF GOVERNORS
At Southridge, we have taken great pride in our community's accomplishments since opening our doors 30 years ago. First class facilities have been constructed with the opening of the Senior School in September 1998, the Junior School in September 2000, the purchase, and completion of the playing fields in 2003, the expansion of the Senior School in 2009, and most recently the completion of the projects supported by Our WayForward:TheCampaignforSouthridge. For three decades, Southridge has enjoyed full enrollment and has established a reputation for providing an excellent educational experience for its students.
Southridge is a school built on philanthropy. In fact, none of these accomplishments would have been possible without the generosity of our parents. One of our guiding principles states that contribution is at the heart of what we inherit and what we pass on. In keeping with this philosophy, families new to Southridge are asked to contribute by giving their time and talent through volunteering, and their treasure by making a voluntary donation to the Legacy Giving Campaign. The money raised is used to reduce the debt incurred to acquire our campus, further develop our facilities, as well as to support annual capital expenditures.
We welcome you to our community and encourage you to build on our legacy of philanthropy by contributing to the Legacy Giving Campaign. Indeed, your support of our mission helps ensure we are all making a difference in the world.
YOUR
ank you for coosing Souhrige.
Choosing to send your children to an independent school requires thoughtful consideration of many factors, and I know the decision is seldom, if ever, taken lightly.
I believe that one of the valuable elements of Southridge is the fact that your children will be known and cared for. Our teachers understand the important connection between emotion and learning that exists in all of us, and that is of critical importance to children in a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school environment. Without question, the way your children feel in school is inextricably linked to their intellectual growth and development. As such, everyone at Southridge – teachers and staff alike – is committed to developing relationships with your children that are nourishing and supportive. We will take good care of your children at Southridge because we know how critical it is to you and, most importantly, to them.
Any successful and flourishing community is built on a solid foundation, and Southridge is no different. Our school’s foundation comes from important values that bind all of us together and orient us in a common direction. Our sense of community is important to us and we take our responsibility as role models seriously.
The strength of our community is enriched by our parents. At our school, parents are welcomed and encouraged to get involved and to make a difference by contributing their time and effort as volunteers. We’ve never wanted Southridge to be a place where children are here just to attend classes. The vision for Southridge is a community where every sprit soars, and the conditions for our vision to be realized require an all hands on deck frame of mind – from our teachers, our staff, our students, and our parents. Parents help keep our community strong, and we are excited that you are a part of who we are as a school.
While the resources required to realize our vision and to create an excellent learning environment are considerable, the generous donations of our parents have provided the high quality buildings, equipment, and learning resources that house and facilitate our programs. Without these, the experiences of your children would be greatly diminished, as would our ability to attract outstanding teachers and put the appropriate tools at their fingertips. Besides the much needed funds that have been generated by the Legacy Giving Campaign, the fact that such a large proportion of our families have participated over the years contributes to the sense of belonging and commitment that have characterized Southridge since its inception.
he sren of our communiy is enriced by our parens.
Everyone at Southridge appreciates the support you give our community. Without people like you there would be no Southridge and the wonderful and joyful experiences our children are blessed with would be sadly missed. Southridge is an inspiring place to live, learn and grow, and your contributions help make our school very special, indeed. Thank you!

TOGETHER, WE CAN ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY
For 30 years, Southridge families have believed that together, we can accomplish extraordinary things. To truly make a difference in the world, we know that it isn’t enough to invest in this generation of students, we must also invest in the next.
The families who founded our school in 1995 understood this. They invested financially in the buildings and grounds that our students benefit from today, and ensured that there would be room for future growth. Their commitment laid the foundation for where we are today – investing, once again, in the potential of our children, and generations of children to come.
The Southridge story is one of determination and vision. As a community, we have always imagined the possibilities and have come together to act on them.
As a community, we have always imagined the possibilities and acted on them, equipping each new generation of leaders, changemakers, artists, and innovators with the tools to transform the world.
As new members of the Southridge community we are asking you to build on the philanthropic gifts of the past. Such investment takes many forms including your time, talent, and treasure. We ask for your participation and commitment knowing you will benefit at least as much from your involvement as those who have done so before you. Through your efforts, your children and all of our children will benefit.
