SYC Charity Golf Day

Charity Golf Day in March Raises $11,000 The incredible success of the Southport Yacht Club Annual Charity Golf Day, recently held at Emerald Lakes Golf Course, raised over $11,000 for Youth Sailing. The event saw the highest number of attendees in its 4-year history, with 33 teams and 132 players contributing to the fundraiser. An extremely entertaining day was had by all and the proceeds of this event will assist the youth program by allowing the purchase of things such as life-jackets, sailing dinghies, sails, safety equipment, boat parts and maintenance, fuel and running costs. We would like to thank everyone who attended, those who made generous donations, and everyone who gave up their time to ensure the smooth running of the event.

Having had such a great day, along with lots of positive feedback, plans are already in motion for next year’s Charity Golf Day, all locked in for th 20th March 2020!
