Oxenford Watersports Centre
With the Gold Coast’s perfect weather conditions during winter our Oxenford Watersports Centre is looking busy. We have recently launched a program for Girl Guides and Scout groups this is proving to be popular, it is great that we are able to upskill the local scouts so they can gain their sailing badge, a truly valuable life skill.
A reminder to all members to bring your members card when your next out at Oxenford, you receive the same great discounts that you get at our other locations. The café is the perfect spot to sit while you push the kids or grandkids out on the water with our instructors this winter, we have plenty of spots available in our courses for both adults and kids. We have some exciting news about our School Holiday Camps for the June/July school holidays. We are designing a camp that is specifically for winter, there will be some exciting new activities. Keep posted on our E news for when the program drops. Warning extreme amounts of fun to be had!
FYI to all you adults thinking about forging your age to join the camp it is unlikely to work; we haven’t forgotten about you we have redesigned our Start Dinghy Sailing course which is perfect for teens and adults the course even incorporates a journey sail on the last day, it’s not all fun however! It is up to the participants to plan the journey and get us there safely! If we arrive safely rumour has it there are tasty snacks available for purchase.
There are also a wide variety of other activities that don’t involve sailing at Oxenford, from corporate packages, special events, paddle boarding, yoga and eating in the café (one of my favourite activities!).
