FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS Over 850 USM Foundation Scholarships are awarded through the Golden Opportunities Scholarship Application System (GO System). The Alumni Association annually awards more than $20,000 to select children and grandchildren of Southern Miss alumni. Applications must be submitted for the upcoming fall semester via the Golden Opportunities Scholarship Application System (GO System). FAFSA | FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID A current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required for all undergraduate scholarships. The 2021-22 FAFSA will be available at fafsa.ed.gov beginning October 1, 2020. FAFSA (Financial Aid) Priority Date for Scholarship Consideration: December 15, 2020 Scholarship opportunities are subject to change without notice, depending on the availability of University funding.

Students can pay for college through a variety of undergraduate scholarship opportunities at The University of Southern Mississippi. All undergraduate scholarships are housed in the Golden Opportunities Scholarship Application System (GO System). Students must be admitted to the University to access the scholarship database. Students can sign in using their student ID (wXXXXXX ) and SOAR password. For questions regarding password and USM email account, contact iTech at 601.266.HELP (4357).
