Warriors on the run CHRIS FOX PHOTO Villa Park Review
The Willowbrook boys and girls cross country teams began the 2020 season with Saturday’s dual meets against York at Berens Park in Elmhurst. A group of Warriors is pictured during the opening seconds of the boys race. The boys and girls teams from Willowbrook and York competed on the same 2.93-mile course at Berens Park. Cross country is one of the sports that the IHSA has allowed during the 2020 fall
season. The IHSA has moved the seasons of three other traditional fall sports— football, girls volleyball and boys soccer—to the spring of 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. See the sports section for more information about Willowbrook’s boys and girls cross country teams.
