Picture Book Picnic

CHRIS FOX PHOTO Villa Park Review

Whitney Martin (left) and Amity Davis (right) of the Villa Park Public Library’s youth services department visited the Iowa Community Center last week for a Picture Book Picnic. Library staff members held multiple Picture Book Picnic events at the community center on Wednesdays in June and July. All ages were welcome to attend each of the events, which usually took place outside. The July 22 gathering was held indoors because of inclement weather. Last week’s Picture Book Picnic provided stories, music and pictures focusing on space travel and the planets in the solar system. The audience included children from the Villa Park Parks and Recreation Department’s Junior Adventure Camp.
