Roadside safety checks coming soon Police Department reminds drivers, passengers: Click It or Ticket! VILLA PARK — A roadside safety check will be conducted by the Villa Park Police Department during the dates of October 23, November 14 and 20. The safety checks are being conducted to promote the safety and well-being of the motoring public and to provide a deterrent for those who might violate Illinois Vehicle Code statutes and village ordinances. Plans have been established to conduct the checks at locations and during those hours, which will provide the maximum opportunity for the detection and apprehension of motorists who drive under the influence of alcohol or other substances. The roadside safety checks will be conducted according to the guidelines set forth by the courts.
