Guided Walks at Kishwauketoe – Join Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy Board Chairman Harold Friestad each Friday through October for a guided walk through the Conservancy. Participants should meet at Kishwauketoe’s main entrance at 251 Elkhorn Rd. (Highway 67) at 9 a.m.

2, 3 Fall Color Tour on Delavan Lake: Enjoy a hot cup of apple cider or a cocktail while viewing the vibrant colors of autumn, which can be best appreciated from the water on one of Lake Lawn Resort’s narrated boat tours of Delavan Lake. 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through October. $27.50 for adults; $12.50 for children. A Walking Tour of Lake Geneva – Hear the historic gossip of Lake Geneva including the dish on a 1950s bank robbery, the town’s tie to prohibition gangsters and tales of the Lake Geneva sea serpent. Tour includes more of the “sordid and scandalous” past of downtown and the historic Maple Park neighborhoods. This 90-minute walking tour presented by Black Point Estate is rain or shine. 5 In Times of High Strangeness – Presentation at the Lake Geneva Public Library, 6 p.m. In this epic lecture, the presenter will detail his A-Z list of strange things. Cryptid creatures, phantom spirits, and elusive legends, all come out to play in this amazingly unique presentation. Fun? You bet! Weird? Reader ­– 9 p.m. to midnight at the Maxwell Mansion, 304 Wells St., Lake Geneva. Joe Diamond may look like a normal guy, but he has turned his fascination for the strange and mysterious into a full-time career. All shows are complimentary with any drink order. The shows last 10 to 15 minutes each and are designed to be COVID compliant for 2 to 4 guests in the Cognac Parlor.

9-10 Lake Geneva Oktoberfest – Staged throughout the downtown area, this seasonal festival features a beer tent, live music, and kids’ activities. 4

new pop-up public art project with local participants designing and building scarecrows that are placed throughout the downtown district.

29 Wayne Issleb as Ulysses S. Grant – The Big Foot Community Fine Arts Foundation hosts this presentation at 7 p.m. at the Big Foot Auditorium, 401 Devils La., Walworth. Issleb portraying Grant, takes you on a journey from his young years to the very end, back to the cottage where he had just days to live. Historic museum and carefully maintained rail cars from 90 to 100 years ago. Stops at the Elegant Farmer. 15 miles north of Lake Geneva on Highway 120. Trains depart on hourly from East Troy Depot at 2002 Church Street. Departures from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Saturday.
