While these resolutions may include such worthwhile plans such as more exercise, weight loss, smoking cessation, and overall health improvement, often these plans are short lived. Why? Not because people don’t want to improve their health and fitness but often because they don’t have the knowledge
needed to implement these changes in a way that is consistent with success. They may tend to go overboard, exercising too much and causing damage to joints and ligaments, or restricting their diets to such an extent that they become discouraged. By three weeks into their program, they begin to lose their desire to continue especially if they are suffering from injury or failing to see any improvements in their health. For many there is a need to consult professional help to help lead them toward their goals.
The road to success
According to Dr. John Friedrichs, a chiropractor with an office in East Troy, “Often accepting that someone may know more about achieving your goals than you do, may lead you to finding the road that will lead to your success.” Friedrichs has been practicing
chiropractic medicine since 1994, when he along with his brother the late, Pete Friedrichs, also a Chiropractor, opened their practice to help people maintain or return to optimum health through chiropractic and incorporating holistic health practices into their patient’s lifestyles. John Friedrichs became involved with chiropractic medicine as a student at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater after injuring his back while playing basketball. After attempting to find relief from his injury in traditional medicine without success for two years, he was treated by a chiropractor who relieved him of his pain and restored him to health. His practice, the Wisconsin Spinal Rehabilitation Center, has offices in East Troy and Brookfield.
