Help provide children with necessary tools Getting a student “back to school ready” can be a challenge for nearly every family. For many families’s school supplies may be on the bottom of the list for necessary spending like rent and food. Lena Living Center located at 1010 South Logan Street along with members of the LBPA want to help our kids and are planning a back to school supply drive on Saturday, August 4 during their Community Family Picnic from 11 - 1 on the front
lawn of Lena Living Center. Attendees are asked to bring school supplies to donate for local schools. Each single donation will receive one ticket that can be used for children’s games, candy, drinks or petting zoo. The more you donate the more tickets you can have to spend. Kids can buy a chance to win one of two fully stocked backpacks for school. Terry and Danny a Ventriloquist Act from Lodi Wisconsin will be performing from noon until 1. Bring
your lawn chairs or blanket and get ready for side splitting laughter. A hot dog, bag of chips and a drink is available for $3 from 11 until gone. We are excited to have several vendors on hand with items to display and sell.
