Orangeville American Legion and Auxiliary to host Chili and Soup Supper The 15th Annual Orangeville
American Legion and Auxiliary Chili and Soup Supper will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Orangeville Village Hall, 104 North Church Street, Orangeville. The soups being served are chili, ham and bean, and vegetable beef. There will be ham, turkey and cheese sandwiches, as well as pickles, olives and cheese, plus an assortment of desserts. Coffee and milk will be served. Take outs will also be available. The tickets are available in advance from any Orangeville Legion member or at the door. Adults are $7, children 6-10 years are $4 and children under 6 years are free. Bring your appetite and help support the Orangeville American Legion and Auxiliary with their annual fundraising event.

HCC Foundation announces 2017-2018 scholarship recipients The Highland Community College Foundation distributed more than $350,000 to Highland students for the 2017 academic year with over 300 people in attendance at its annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony on September 24. More than $7 million has been distributed to Highland students since the Foundation was formed. Some scholarships are based on merit and financial need; others are awarded to students based on where they attended high school and what major they are studying.
