9-11 remembrance
Every September 11th since 2002, the students and faculty of Eastview Elementary School have held a ceremony at their flagpole in remembrance of the events of 09/11/01 and to honor the police, fire, and military veterans of Algonquin. We were honored to be a part of this ceremony once again, and were treated to songs, cards, letters, and a delicious breakfast. Thank you, Eastview Elementary! While these current students were not yet born when 09/11/01 occurred, they have been taught well about the significance of the events of that day from their parents and teachers.
