Miss McHenry County to be crowned

The 2018 McHenry County Fair queen and Princesses will be crowned at the culmination of the Pageant on Tuesday, July 31, opening day of the Fair in the grandstands. The Pageant will begin at 6 p.m., and admission is free. The Miss McHenry County Pageant has been a tradition at the McHenry County Fair for over 60 years. Our pageant provides a scholarship to the Miss McHenry County winner to help her pursue her educational hopes and dreams. Added in 2016, Miss McHenry County Pageants now also include a Jr. Teen (Ages 9-12) and Teen (Ages 13-16) Competitive Division as well as a

Princess Mentoring Program (Ages 5-9). The McHenry County Fair Princess Mentoring Program is a noncompete program. This program is designed to provide young girls ages 5 – 9 years old an opportunity to grow in confidence and have a good time. Each Princess will be crowned on stage and have a ton of fun! The Jr and Teen contestants will compete in the areas of Interview, Speech, Formal Wear and On-Stage Question. Miss McHenry County contestants will compete in the areas of Interview, Swimsuit, Speech, Formal Wear and On-Stage Question.

August Adventures with McHenry County Conservation District

Relax under the summer night sky while we wait and watch for meteors.
