McHenry County Sheriff’s Office sees you We would like to take a moment to say “Thank You.” We see the continued support our community and the surrounding communities give to support the Sheriff’s Office and Deputy Jacob Keltner’s family. We see the fundraisers. We see the t-shirts you are wearing that support Jake. We see those of you dedicating your game or race in his memory. We see and read each and every card from the picture cards drawn by the younger students to the heartfilled messages penned by those that have also lost a loved one. We see paid receipts when complete strangers pay for a Deputies meal. We see this all and we want to be able to thank everyone personally but the outpouring is just so great that we cannot. So please know that we see you, we continue to see you, our community, our family, and we sincerely thank you all from the very bottom Young baseball team wears ‘Thin Blue Line’ shirts to honor McHenry County Law Enforcement. of our hearts.

Local fire departments in Memorial Day Parades

It was Huntley Fire Department’s honor to participate in the Memorial Day Parade. Our freedom does not come free, it cost many their lives, loved ones lost, families changed forever. It is for those reasons our sirens didn’t sound during the parade. We paid our respects to the fallen. We heard the cheers and gratitude for our services, we also heard the requests for sirens and horns. That day was not about us! It was for the fallen, we respected them through our silence.
