In the fast-paced times of 1954, the only things that the workers at Sleep Tite Pajama factory in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, want are fair working conditions and their 7 ½ cent raise! Come see Marian Central Catholic High School’s rendition of The Pajama Game, including classic songs “Hernando’s Hideaway,” “Steam Heat,” and “Hey There.” Watch as Babe, the head of the workers’ grievance committee, falls for Sid, their new superintendent; Hines, the time-steady man, pines for Gladys, a secretary at the factory; and the workers fight for a pay raise.
