Green County 4-H award winners announced By Stacey Torsteonson CORRESPONDENT
On the closing Sunday of the Green County Fair a 4-H Recognition Ceremony was held in honor of the outstanding achievements made by area youth participants. In addition, the 2017 graduates of 4-H were also recognized. The Cindi Miller Memorial Scholarship winners this year were Ben Horn and Travis Oliver, both of Jolly Mixers 4-H group. Cindi Miller was an active leader of the Juda Jolly Juniors, adult advisor for the Green County Leaders Association and Green County Fair Superintendent of Photography. Following her death in 2015, Cindi’s husband Daryl, and children Tori and Dustin, decided to form a scholarship fund in Cindi’s memory. All three members of Cindi’s immediate family were at the ceremony to present to both recipients. Ben Horn receives the Cindi Miller Memorial scholarship, given in memory of Cindi Miller, who served the Green County 4-H Fair before her death in 2015. The family of Cindi Miller husband Daryl, daughter Tori and son Dustin presented the $1,000 scholarship to each of the recipients.
The 2017 4-H graduates of Green County, who were honored during the 4-H award ceremony on July 23 at the Green County Fair.
