Something Sweet
Antioch candy shop celebrates 20 years of business Something Sweet, 891 Main St., Antioch, celebrates 20 years of selling fresh homemade fudge, chocolates, nostalgic candies and elegant gifts for everyone from individuals to corporations to enjoy. Additionally, they carry a full line of Stonewall Kitchen gourmet foods and Republic of Tea products. “Our business has grown from making our own homemade fudge and introducing it to people one taste at a time, to creating a family-focused business that delights customers with the gift of the best quality chocolates,” said Something Sweet’s owner Michele Michel. “We’ve enjoyed watching families come in over the years and have seen our young employees grow up to be kind, wonderful adults.” In addition to their homemade fudge, Something Sweet is known for their Bearfoot Patties, dark peppermint bark – featured at David’s Bistro, dipped glace’ orange peel, truffles, sugar free candies, sea salt caramels and incredible honey crisp caramel apples. They also offer Jelly Belly’s, gummies and children’s novelties. Michele, Ashley and the entire team love taking care of their customers and getting to know them each time they visit. “The best part of the business is getting to work with my daughter, Ashley. We both feel so honored and grateful that customers walk through our door,” Michele added. Even though Michele and her husband have moved to California, Michele regularly returns to Antioch to help Ashley run the store. Customers wonder why Michele comes back to Antioch in the middle of winter, to which Michele replies – “I don’t really care about the cold because our customers are so warm. Antioch will always be my home.” For more information, call at 847-838-9350, email them at info@4somethingsweet.com and follow them on Facebook.
