Antioch P.E.O. chapter, local youth team up to assemble summer reading fun bags Tuesday, July 13 was a busy day at the Antioch Senior Center. Local teens joined the Antioch Chapter of P.E.O. International (Women helping women reach for the stars) to help bring summer reading fun to area youth. The Antioch Chapter of P.E.O. International collected hundreds of books for children and young adults with the goal of getting them into the hands of Antiocharea youth over the summer break. The teens were eager to help sort the books into general reading levels and bag them up. The bags also received a good bag of
fun items to delight the recipients. Once the completed, the Summer Reading Book Bags were taken to Open Arms Mission for distribution to local families. In total, 64 bags containing almost 700 books were delivered to the Open Arms Mission. A wonderful effort bye the nine P.E.O. chapter members and the three local teens. For more information on P.E.O. visit www.PEOInternational.org or contact local chapter president at KarenBatterman@ gmail.com
