Did you know? What stresses you out: family, deadlines, bills, your job, school, the upcoming holidays? School is in session. Schedules have taken shape. Homecoming is around the corner, and a new sports season has begun. There are new deadlines, pressures, and demands. Daily stress pushes us to achieve, but added pressures such as an addition to the family, the loss of a loved one, a divorce, an illness, a job loss, or a move can cause one to feel frazzled, anxious, and overwhelmed. We all experience stress in our lives from time to time, but when we are under constant prolonged stress, it affects our health. Stress triggers the “fight or flight” response in our body which is designed to protect us from immediate danger. This causes rapid deep breathing, increases blood pressure, the heart beats faster and harder, stress hormones release, muscles tense up, while digestion slows down. Continuous stress can cause insomnia, depression, digestion problems, weight gain or loss, premature aging, and increases your risk for an infection, cancer, stroke, and heart attack. The body has three main sources of stress: Emotional stress from our thoughts, physical stress from traumas, and chemical stress from toxins that we are exposed to. Chiropractic care helps to restore homeostasis, a stable and balanced environment for optimal function, which promotes growth and healing. See how we can help.
As women, we understand the health concerns you face. As moms, we know that your health concerns reach beyond yourself and to your family. As chiropractors, our goal is to help you regain you health so you can get your life back. God Bless,
