Did you know? The United States healthcare system is the most expensive in the world, despite that health outcomes are generally no better. In some cases, we are worse than other developed countries, according to the Organization for Economic Co-Operation & Development, (OECD), which develops policies to improve the economic and social well being of people across the world. In 2012, the total national spending on healthcare was $2.8 trillion, or 18% of the economy. We spend over twice as much, per capita, than others. These costs are projected to grow, and is one of the nation’s fiscal challenges long term. (Data compiled by PGPF.) Health Outcome: Heart Attack Fatalities

The Centers for Disease Control, (CDC), states that prevention should be woven into all aspects of our lives, including where and how we live, learn, work, and play. Everyone – government, businesses, educators, health care institutions, communities, and every single American – has a role in creating a healthier nation. Prevention and wellness has always been the cornerstone on which chiropractic care has been built upon. It is our focus to restore health, and prevent future problems. The Council on Chiropractic Education states that, “As a gatekeeper for direct access to the health delivery system, the doctor of chiropractic’s responsibilities as a primary care physician include wellness promotion, health assessment, diagnosis, and the chiropractic management of the patient’s health care needs.” Volumes of independent studies provide conclusive evidence that chiropractic care leads to better health outcomes, higher patient satisfaction with their care, and lower costs for care. According to the JMPT, this includes a 43% reduction in patient hospital admissions, 58% reduction in hospital days, a 43% reduction in outpatient surgeries and procedures, and a 51% reduction in pharmaceutical costs. Wellness is the way of the future. Let us help get you there!
