PRE - REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED WHO can attend?
Businesses, manufacturers, municipalities, schools, retail stores, and service providers that generate small amounts of hazardous waste, and classify as a Very Small Quantity Generator (VSQG) according to DNR standards. In general, any business that generates less than 220 pounds of hazardous waste per month may participate. Business & institutions located outside of Walworth County are welcome to participate.
What WILL be accepted at the Business Clean Sweep?

Products labeled caustic, acid, flammable, danger, warning, or poison. For example: Oil & Lead-based paints Old Fuel, Antifreeze & Motor Oil Pesticides & Herbicides Paint Remover, Degreasers, Solvents Adhesives & Lubricants Wood Preservatives Cleaning Chemicals Fluorescent Bulbs Fertilizers Mercury Thermometers & Thermostats

Ensure all containers are structurally sound; and not ready to rupture or leak.
What WILL NOT be accepted at the Business Clean Sweep? Empty agricultural chemical containers Compressed gas cylinders Freon Computers & Electronic equipment
Infectious or biological wastes Explosives, radioactive waste Tires, Latex Paint Human Pharmaceuticals
Pre-registration is required by Tuesday, September 21! Contact zach.davis@veolia.com for the VSQG Chemical Inventory Sheet; complete and return by email and he will provide you with a no-obligation disposal quote. Should you choose to participate, they will schedule a time for you to drop off your items, and arrange for payment.
COVID-19 requirements:
Remain in your vehicle and wear a mask should someone approach your vehicle. Ensure all your hazardous waste is maintained in the rear area of your vehicle, the trunk, pickup bed, or trailer and not next to you or the passenger side, as they will NOT enter your vehicle. Veolia prefers credit card payment in advance to minimize contact.
