4:09 p.m. – responded to a two-car accident on East Geneva Street. Arrived and found a vehicle making a turn did not yield. Driver cited for failure to yield. Both vehicles were driven away.

5:11 p.m. – report of driver all over the road on West Page Street. Officer located the vehicle and found no signs of impairment. Driver had two body only warrants that were both confirmed so was transported to jail.

7:20 p.m. – officer dispatched to a barking dog on East Maclean Road. Met with the caller who advises the dog barks early in the morning hours and at night for several hours.

Officer made contact with owner, advised them of the ordinance and offered some possible solutions.

Dec. 20 2:31 a.m. – an officer observed a vehicle in the parking lot of closed business on West Market Street. Vehicle and business were checked.

All OK. 3:28 p.m. – observed a vehicle speeding as school was getting out on North Jackson Street. Vehicle stopped and driver cited.

11:12 p.m. – traffic stop for speeding and a broken tail light on West Walworth

Street. The driver admitted to consuming alcohol, performed field sobriety tests and was found to be impaired. Driver issued a criminal citation for OWI-second offense and released to a responsible party.

Dec. 21 12:40 a.m. – traffic stop for expired registration on South Lincoln Street.

Driver did not have current proof of insurance. Cited for non-registration and warned for insurance.

1:54 a.m. – traffic stop for no front license plate on East Third Avenue. Did not have insurance. Cited for insurance violation.

5:39 p.m. – bathroom door unlocked on South Wright Street, also discovered inappropriate drawings on bench under the shelter.

Will look into further.

6:06 p.m. – observed a vehicle violating the posted speed limit on East Geneva Street. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was valid but had restrictions.

Passenger was valid so able to drive from there.

7:53 p.m. – dispatched to an intoxicated male on Pleasant Street. Officers arrived and attempted to locate a responsible party. Man was belligerent so taken to to the hospital and placed under protective custody.

10:39 p.m. – City of Delavan PD asked to check for a subject wanted by them. No answer at residence of address provided. No further follow up by the department needed at this time.

Man, 22, charged with having sex with girl, 14 An initial appearance was scheduled for Jan. 9 for an East Troy man charged with forcibly having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Jonas Pieters, 22, was charged Dec. 20 in Walworth County Circuit Court with two counts of sexual assault of a child younger than 16 years old, first-degree sexual assault of a child younger than 16 by use or threat of force or violence and repeated sexual assault of a child.

He faces up to 180 years in prison if convicted on all counts.

According to the criminal complaint, the 14-year-old girl told police Sept. 12 that she and Pieters had sexual intercourse three times between June and September, and, on the most recent occasion, Pieters forced the encounter. The girl said she and Pieters initially had sex at her Barnes Street home in Delavan, and, on the second occasion, had sex in a park down the street from her home, according to the complaint. She said each time she felt pressured and Pieters commented that he would hurt himself if they didn’t have sex.

On the third occasion, the girl said, she was at her boyfriend’s house on Seventh Street in Delavan around Sept. 1 and 2 and was intoxicated after Pieters gave her vodka and juice of some sort, according to the complaint. She said she was in her boyfriend’s room playing video games when

Pieters pinned her to the bed, removed her pants and underwear, held her hands above her head and had sexual intercourse with her, the complaint states. She said the encounter ended when they heard a car driving up and people returning to the home, according to the complaint. Afterward, she said, Pieters asked her to drink his drink and she believed it might have had vyvanse – an attention deficit, hyperactivity disorder medication – in it, the complaint states.

Police obtained the girl’s phone and noted she and Pieters continued to have contact, discussing the sexual encounters, professing their love for one another and suggesting they resume their relationship when the girl is 18.

Man charged with brandishing gun at bar patron A Whitewater man is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 31 of charges that stem from allegedly brandishing a gun toward a man acting inappropriately toward his girlfriend at a bar.

Dontrel J. Jones, 26, was charged Dec. 20 in Walworth County Circuit Court with second-degree recklessly endangering safety, obstructing an officer, pointing a firearm at another, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and disorderly conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, while drinking at Pumper’s & Mitchell’s Bar in Whitewater on Dec. 12, a 21-year-old man continually attempted to get close to Jones’ girlfriend, and Jones ultimately pulled a handgun from his waistband, pointed it at the man and told him to “back off.”

A witness called police, who encountered a group of four people in the area and ordered them to raise their hands, according to the complaint. All the subjects except Jones raised their hands, and Jones reached toward his waistband, then reached up, and then down again, the complaint states.

An officer ordered the individuals to the ground, and they complied, however, Jones rolled to his left, pulled a tan handgun from his waistband and pointed it in an officer’s direction, according to the complaint.

Jones ejected the magazine from the gun and put it down when ordered to do so, the complaint states. One officer held Jones at gunpoint while the other secured the handgun Jones had put on the ground, according to the complaint.
