Drugs • Deante Mikael Devon Cook, 26, of Janesville; possession of marijuana, second and subsequent offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cook was found with a marijuana cigarette, a sandwich bag of marijuana and a THC vaporizer during a traffic stop in Whitewater on Sept. 7, according to the criminal complaint.

Dec. 7 11:51 a.m. – gas drive off on East Commerce Court. Appears to be a mistake as driver inserts card however station attendant had already approved the pump so it didn’t read the card.

2:15 a.m. – man asking for money for gas on East Commerce Court. Officer arrived and did not locate. Employee advised male is there everyday asking for money. Officer advised employee to call if he returns.

3 p.m. – hawk standing in roadway appears injured on County Trunk H. Responded.

Hawk had injured wing, was transported to Fellow Mortals and turned over to them for care.

3:05 p.m. – walking from businesses asking people for money on Wisconsin Street.

Same description as earlier call.

3:39 p.m. – officer dispatched to check welfare of elderly woman who was out in the cold on North Wisconsin Street. Arrived and spoke with employee. She advised female was picked up by her ride.

3:57 p.m. - Closed westbound traffic on Hwy 11 at Sedgemeadow due to a crash that occurred in Delavan Township. Cleared once crash was cleared up.

9:01 p.m. – officer was doing a park check on South Wright Street. The men’s restroom to the pavilion was open.

Dec. 8 10:26 a.m. – pregnant cat found on North Washington Street. Spoke with caller who advised a friend would be able to keep the cat until tomorrow when they take it to the animal shelter.
