Late last week, the Elmhurst Police Department reported that it was investigating the recovery of a deceased body which was found in the Elmhurst-Chicago Stone Quarry located at West Ave. & First Street on Friday, April 21. Police officers and fire personnel searching the west side of the quarry for a missing-endangered person from Elmhurst discovered the body of a deceased male in his early 20’s at the bottom of the quarry at 12:40 p.m. The DuPage County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and transported the body to the Coroner’s office in Wheaton for further examination. It was believed at that time that the body may be that of the missing-endangered person reported to police on April 14, 2017. On April 23, 2017, a positive identification of the missing subject was made through dental records. The subject has been identified as Justin Antony 24, of Elmhurst, who had been reported missing about a week prior.
